On 6/25/24, after a three year absence from the office, I advised Rosa I’d moved and wouldn’t be coming in again. She told me I had a $1054.60 credit on my account and asked me to send my new address for her to send a check. Rosa is no longer with the office.

I sent my address the same day and, other than once being told I’d get the check “ASAP”, I’ve been ignored. I have emails sent dated 8/21/24, 9/16/24 and 9/20/24 asking for an explanation…no response.

This is a sad situation. I’ve been a patient at this office since 2001 and felt we all knew each other. I trusted Dr Jayne with the dental work, having considerable work done over the years at a considerable price. I always had the card out and paid in full. I was happy with the dental results.

Since I didn’t pay Jayne Hoffman $1054.60 directly, I have to assume it’s some sort of insurance credit or refund which didn’t get passed on to me (for over three years min.). Their lack of response sends the signal to me they don't care what I think, especially since I've already moved on.

This review is a warning to future patients and to current ones maybe unknowingly already scammed.

Ask questions, check your records cause the priority here seems to be the dollar!

Be aware of this place - they will attempt to scam you!
They over estimated my patient portion and made me paid 100% of the estimate in advance. Once my insurance companies settled, I contacted the office to get my refund. I was told my account had no over payment. I asked for a latest ledger. They emailed me a ledger which they recreated, added duplicate service transactions, and changed the service description of treatment work they initially billed to a “COSMETIC “ charge so they could keep my money instead of refunding. I had a copy of the quote and the original detailed patient ledger which clearly proved the second ledger they provided was manually recreated/edited.
Similar situation happened to my husband. The office recommended some preventive fillings. Once his insurance companies had paid, he contacted the office to get his pre-paid money back and learned that there were 4 different COSMETIC transactions added. He asked them why he was 1) charged for cosmetic work that he was not informed nor consented for, and 2) how the preventive work turned into cosmetic work? This is the explanation provided by the office: “Within the cosmetic fee we include any additional services to help our patients minimize their out of pocket cost. It can range from insurance downgrade, removal of tissue to access the decay, application of medicine to prevent contamination to the filling”. Very interesting as to how the billable procedures mentioned in their explanation are combined as a “cosmetic fee”. What’s worse, they didn’t even apply to my husband’s care! This “cosmetic fee” is a way for them to get additional revenue without having to provide service to patients. How is that helping my husband or any patient save money by paying more?
After a few months of back and forth, they finally refunded the thousands owed to us.

My insurance recommends to ask the provider to get a pre-authorization first so you will know exactly what will be provided and how much you will be responsible for.

The entire team at Dr. Jaynes office is incredible. I feel very well informed about my care and care plan. I came in with a lot of fear about the dentist and since working with the hygienist, Simi, I have gotten over my fear of the dentist and needles!

I unfortunately did not have a good experience here and felt I was given the wrong treatment advice to an infection I was dealing with. Dr. Jayne was not personable and did not show empathy or interest in asking detailed questions about what led met to making an appointment for treatment. After getting a second opinion with another dentist, their recommendation was the complete opposite of hers and I felt cared for and heard. Also, the photos on Google are not photos of the actual office. Overall, I would not come back.
