Staff was rude and unwilling to look into issues with my prescription. When the cost of my prescription was significantly higher than the last time I had gotten it filled, I asked why and she blamed the insurance. She was not willing to troubleshoot and had me either pay or leave to get the line down. I went back into the line and had the other staff member help me, and only then was it explained to me that they had charged me for name brand because they didn’t have the generic version of my medication. I asked why that wasn’t relayed when I was asking about the price difference, and she gave me a rude remark as well. I am not sure if this was a result of lack of customer service training, laziness, or poor education, but I am not impressed with the service I received at this location.

Pharmacy service this year has been good overall. Seem to have more peeps working and quicker and more efficient than the last few years.

Do this place a favor and go someplace else. Desperately needs to regroup. Out of control. Expect your prescription to be lost. Prepare to come back. Long wait to only receive 1 out 3 Rx. Lost the other two. Pharmacist did not even go over the particulars of the new Rx with you like they should.
UPDATE 7/2/2024 - Been back a couple of times. Service has improved. Haven’t heard any local horror stories. They might be back on track.

The Walgreens at Gold Canyon in Arizona has a Pharmacist named Lenny, who is abusive and degrading to customers based on his perception of appearance, financial status. He REFUSES to fill simple prescription based on his own warped sense of morality.
Maybe he is burned out, or maybe he loves playing God at the expensive customers, health, and well being.
This is the first negative review I have ever had post and it's a sad world when a bitter and just plain mean person such as this is allowed by Walgreen's to hold a position where he can play games with people's health and safety.

We have already taken first steps to make him aware and accountable for his actions and behavior.
Normally we brush this kind of thing off, but not this time. Please be aware of him and this location, I don't want anyone else to be subjected to this monster!

Hung up on multiple times after following the pharmacy dial up prompts, after waiting between 5-30 minutes trying to reach them. The waiting music was okay, do not press the * button to silence the music as it then turns into a god awful continual beeping sound. Rough stuff, and I hope they get better. Assuming they are understaffed? Even so, you can't hang up on people trying to fill their medication prescriptions. Cheers ?

Went here for my covid booster. I've got a phobia of needles so I was dreading this all day, luckily the assistant - Brock was receptive to this, we chatted a bit, and he gave me the shot with no pomp or circumstance, just got it over and done with. Easiest shot I've ever had.

This pharmacy takes quite a while to fill prescriptions and they are bad about communicating if something is filled or not. The employees constantly complain they are understaffed.

Lately when my husband has tried to pick up his prescriptions the pharmacy has been closed during their open business hours. Other times when he has called, he gets put in endless hold then hung up on. Needless to say, we are taking our business elsewhere.
