I had such a great experience at UCHealth Cancer Center yesterday. I had a bone marrow biopsy with Dr. Gary White, who explained the entire procedure beforehand and was not hurried in doing so. The entire team was exceptionally competent, empathetic, and caring. I was treated with respect at all times. I highly recommend Dr. White and the entire team for anyone seeking this type of procedure! Many thanks for making a difficult day so great!

UPDATE: I had to adjust my review after I got my bill ! I had a non-complicated outpatient procedure and I was charged for TWO anesthesiologists! TWO of them? For WHAT exactly ! Even if insurance covers this fraud I'm on the hook for the co-pay ! How do they get away with that? TWO - $2,000 charges for ONE outpatient procedures! Yes I complained, YES it's under review BUT !!! I had an outpatient surgery experience that was absolutely spectacular. From start to finish, every single person I encountered — the front desk staff at the main help desk, the patient registration staff, the waiting room attendant, multiple nurses, the anesthesia team, and especially the recovery nurse — treated me with the utmost respect, kindness, and professionalism. My doctor was outstanding as well. It’s clear that this team genuinely cares about their patients, and it made a huge difference in my comfort and confidence throughout the entire process. Highly recommend!

My son was in a motorcycle crash on Saturday evening. I need y'all to know if you want to wait and be treated poorly please go here. The intake staff awful and the triage nurse just as bad. He was rolling his eyes at us. NOT OK!!! Once we got back into a room they were way better which is the only reason why they are getting a 2 from me. The triage nurse needs to not work with the public at all... My son was in pain and honestly accidents happen. It's literally your job to help people without judgement. I will make sure I drive anywhere other than this place again in the future. If you want to be judged and ridiculed go here!!!

I would not come to this hospital for Urology because it seems like no one can do their job. I called 5 different times now to get a CT scheduled so I can have surgery and every time I call they say “oh I’ve put in the request, someone will call you today or tomorrow to schedule” and no call comes so I call the next day and they say ” oh there’s no request here let me put one in for you” and the same thing just keeps happening every single time I call. Also i don’t know her name but one of the receptionists is the rudest person I have ever talked to. This office has no sense of urgency.

As a cancer patient I’ve not only had horrible experiences with the cancer center, but the er as well.

I’ll start with the cancer center. I had to do B&R treatment at this facility. I had barely made it through two of my treatments and was infected with Covid. During the Covid treatment my port became infected. I called my oncologist office regarding my pain in my left arm, and around my port site. I was told to come into the oncologist office. I never saw a provider, only a nurse. I was sent down to radiology, and had an ultrasound ruling out a blood clot. I finished the ultrasound, and went back to the waiting room in the office. I sit there for roughly two hours. Finally the nurse that sent me to radiology peeked her head out of the door - and told me I was free to leave.

Not even a full day later I was extremely sick. My port was not only red, swollen, but had puss. I called the office again with no call back. I finally sent a message on the patient portal. I received a message back the following business day stating that they would connect me with the oncology counselor because this was all in my head. Luckily, I listened to my primary care physician and went to a different hospital. This is four days after the negative ultrasound. I was admitted immediately to critical care because my port was infected. I almost lost my life due to the negligence from my oncology team. Of course I Chose to no longer be an oncology patient at that facility.

The next complaint is the emergency department. I was there a month or so back with horrible vomiting, fainting, and not able to hold my head up. I fell out of the wheelchair in the waiting room only to be set back out in the waiting room while in the ER I started vomiting, and the nurse came in and yelled at me for vomiting and asked me who was going to clean that up? I bluntly told her I would and let them know. She was not welcome back in my room. The doctor came back in and handed me a glass of water And said that I needed to hold that down before I could leave. A few moments later, a different nurse came in and handed me a couple packets of saltine crackers. Not even an hour later, I have yet to touch the water or the crackers because I was still actively vomiting. The nurse came in with discharge papers and said that I was able to keep down the water and the crackers again that I had not touched And discharge me throwing up in my shirt thankfully, my husband took the next day off of work to take me to a different hospital where once again I had to be admitted to critical care due to my potassium level being so low that it was causing cardiac issues.

If you value your life, I would not go to this emergency room. They are incompetent of diagnosing high risk patients with critical care needs and I still can’t get over the fact that I got yelled at for vomiting by a nurse also that they totally ignored how sick I was that I was able to keep down the water and saltine crackers so I could be discharged. Again, I didn’t even touch the crackers or the water because I was too busy nonstop vomiting. Again, I would not take a sick stray squirrel to the ER. Also, if I had to be taken to a hospital by ambulance, The only way I would ever be taking back to this ER would be if I was unable to tell them to take me elsewhere. I promise you that it is in your best interest to take you and your family elsewhere.

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL! Took my brother there as he had trouble breathing and could hardly walk, and two days later took him home same way. Took him to PCP two days later to find out results of testing in hospital and they only addressed an infection with an antibiotic. Will never go there again. Asked nurse to have Dr. Liu call me but never heard from him except at admission. One initial nurse, Cassidy, was great and it was downhill after that. DRIVE BY UCHEALTH HIGHLANDS RANCH if you are ill! 👎

My sister was flown to UCHealth Highlands Ranch in critical care as a result of a severe liver infection. Through the eight days she was in the ICU, the level of support and care was outstanding. The staff, from doctors to nurses to care managers to the cafeteria workers, were some of the most kind and truly empathetic people you could hope to meet. The woman who worked in the pharmacy actually cried when my brother-in-law told her about my sister. My sister didn’t make it, but the hospital gave her all the excellent care they could; and when she decided to stop fighting, they carried through with keeping her absolutely comfortable until she passed. They even brought a cart in with coffee, tea, snacks, and beautiful cloth roses for us as we held vigil. I will never forget how caring they were and am truly thankful.
