I would highly recommend this office. Dr. Nicholas Bland is such a great dentist and is so great with my son. His staff is so welcoming from the front dest to the back office. His assistants are so sweet and very good at what they do. My son used to have a fear of the dentist but no longer does thanks to these guys!

Dr. Bland is the best pediatric dentist I've found!!! My 5 year old son and I went to several dentists for evaluation when he needed dental work. I am so lucky I finally found The Wiggly Tooth. He genuinely cares for your child and it shows. He also does great dental work. I would highly recommend him and his office!!

Unfortunately, the experience we had with Wiggly Tooth Pediatric Dentistry and Dr. Bland was not the same as the totality of five-star reviews listed here. Our one-year-old son went to Dr. Bland for a frenectomy (a routine surgical procedure to remove the skin between the lip and the gum/upper teeth); this was to be done by laser and no anesthesia would be provided.

Upon arrival, we were surprised to be told we would have to remain in the waiting room and not join our son for the procedure, as this was their policy. Instead, Dr. Bland took him back, letting us know they would be done in about 45 seconds, to a minute. Five minutes later, Dr. Bland, and his teenage daughter, brought our son to us in the waiting room. He told us we had a strong boy (who at this point was visibly upset) and no follow-up would be needed. He also shared that there were exercises for us to do daily for proper healing, and that he would text an instructional video.

When we arrived home, we opened our son’s mouth to see how things looked and were shocked by what we found! Rather than what one would typically see after a frenectomy, our son had an open wound on the underside of his upper lip, and the skin that was to be removed was still attached! We immediately texted Dr. Bland photos and inquired if what we were seeing was normal. He called us back and told us with “severe lip ties,” there is the possibility additional procedures would need to be performed to remove the skin fully, but that everything looked normal. Why was this the first time we were told he had a “severe lip tie,” and why was this not addressed when he brought our son to us in the waiting room? We let him know we would not be returning. With regard to the instructional video, we did not receive one that day, so I had to text the office and they called me back and walked me through the exercises over the phone. No paperwork regarding the procedure, duration of exercises or proper follow-up with regard to expectations after the procedure were provided. The video was finally texted to me the following day.

The next day we went to our pediatrician, as well as a different pediatric dentist, who assured us the frenectomy was not performed, that indeed our son’s lip had been lasered. Our pediatrician called Dr. Bland numerous times, but rather than respond to him directly, Dr. Bland called us to see how our son was doing, and when I told him I had contacted our pediatrician, he told us he had received a number of calls from him. Today our son had another follow-up with his pediatrician, and we were told a conversation between he and Dr. Bland had since taken place.

As stated on the Wiggly Tooth website, it’s their mission to “help children reach adulthood without fear or anxiety by offering a peaceful, pain free experience.” Well, this was not our son’s experience and he has since shown anxiety and fear going into his well-loved pediatrician’s office, as well as his new pediatric dentist!

I found out forever dentist for my kids. The dental office is very cute and cozy. Staff were super friendly and took their time with my young boys. Dr. Shahbazi was great explaining everything to my son so there was no surprises or fear on unknown for him. I would highly recommend the wiggly tooth if you want someone who truly cares for your kids.

My 3 year old son is a handful and everyone here is so patient with him. I actually had a professional behavior coach with me (for my 7 year old) and even he was impressed by the way the staff handled my 3 year old. My son is still not a fan of the dentist office and tries to talk me out of it every time we pull up in the parking lot, but he knows some of the staff by name and doesn't hold it against them at all. He's very fond of Dr. Korf's original staff and liked The Wiggly Tooth staff just as much. I was nervous when I found out Dr. Korf was transitioning to retirement and handing over the practice, but winners pick winners.
