Strengths:
I have been skeptical of a lot of orthodontics locations, but this place has been a very good experience. From the orthodontist Dr. Hideki Ikeda to the very caring employee Jaime Colin, everyone will ensure you are well taken care of. Dr. Ikeda is likely the best orthodontist provider at this location and if you like him and want him to be your attending dentist, you can request that with the front desk. If preferred, you are even able to request your assistant/other staff members who will always try to be the one who takes care of you before the orthodontist sees you.

As a provider myself, I respect that Dr. Ikeda always has valuable information to share, stays within his scope of practice, and does not overstep the boundaries like many other providers out there. All questions are always welcomed to be asked at any time. There is even room for some casual discussions if time allows. Unlike other dental/ortho offices that gladly take your money and then try to do their work without giving you periodic updates after each appointment, Dr. Ikeda is very OCD and a perfectionist which reflect very well on your treatment plan and progress.

Jaime Colin is the one individual who has always tried to keep my spirits up and acted like a friend to me. He has a very nice personality and will keep a conversation going if needed. It is very rare to find this behavior at any healthcare provider's offices because the other provider offices place a larger emphasis on profits rather than customer satisfaction and customer relationship management.

Weaknesses:
Although the online appointment system could be improved a bit so that patients don't drive over 30 minutes away to find out the office is closed, this is a small detail for the amount of care you will get here. I suspect that it was just a minor detail that the unexpected pandemic had forced the office to close abruptly without allowing the online appointment system to catch up quickly enough.

Opportunities:
Some employees are not as polite and will try to pressure you into filling out reviews before the treatment is even done. I do not believe in this type of behavior and perhaps these employees should be retrained so that they can understand how important customer relationship management should be. Some other employees are very reserved and this may lead to some odd silences in between procedures such as X-rays or pictures. Perhaps this could be a bit of notice to those employees.

Even though there are some weaknesses as described above, they do not warrant a loss of a star from the review. Every business/organization will never be perfect, but it is up to the employees who act in the company's best interests to set an example for other employees.

I recently came in with my nephew so he could get this braces tightened. The office is so nice and newly renovated, they have tv on the ceiling and iPads to keep the kids entertained. Jolleen was the assistant helping out my nephew. She was gentle and made him feel really comfortable! They see people all ages for braces! I may consider coming for a consult myself.

Our experience has been very good so far planning Braces for my daughter. Ayde was very knowledgeable with financial questions and was reassuring to both my ex husband and myself as we are coparenting. She was also patient with additional questions that we had about procedures. The doctor, technician and hygentest were also friendly and patient. This office is the place to go for perfect teeth. I got my braces done by Dr. Ikeda and I love my results! I had braces done by another orthodontist in the east coast that I didn’t finish because I was moving, but since I moved back to California I wanted to finish up my braces. I found Dr. Ikeda online, I called and set up an appointment and had a free consultation. His consultation was very thorough, I had my xrays taken and some pictures of myself and my teeth taken, so he could show me what he recommended. The staff at his office are all so friendly and are good at what they do! Jolleen was the assistant who took my photos and worked on me most, she was gentle when tightening my braces and friendly, but all the other staff is great as well. This office is very welcoming and definitely a two thumbs up!

Who would’ve thought I’d get braces again? After hearing such great things about Dr. Ikeda. I’ve decided to get a consultation with him and end up leaving with a 2 year commitment. Hello brace face!

So far it’s been great. The staff are friendly and efficient at this location and the placentia one. They always call/text ahead to remind you of your appointment. I can tell Dr. Ikeda is a perfectionist. He takes his time to make sure everything is perfect after the assistants work on my teeth before letting me leave my chair.

Also, Jolleen is the sweetest! She sparks me joy whenever I come in. 😬

Ayde at Sweet smiles is the best. She's so attentive and helpful. She answers all your questions and returns your calls back promptly. The Garden Grove office is so clean and the staff is amazing. Love taking my kids to their office and they enjoy it as well!

Sweet Smiles is the best Orthodontics you can take your child to, they always explain the current and the next step to ease any anxiety for the child, they have an exceptional staff , accommodation for special needs are impressive including a private exam room entertaining waiting room, very clean and friendly in addition to the up to date dental technology ,
