My experience was great! The doctor and nurses were very underatanding and supportive about my health situation, i did not have to wait long for anything. They were all professional, fast, and kind. Becouse of them i feel a whole lot better. Thank you sutter amador.

Showed up to the ER unable to speak or breath. ER doc and whole staff were very professional and did a great job. Had to spend a few days in the ICU and had the exact same great experience. Staff was very friendly and helpful and went beyond my expectations. Great place!

Needed to get a blood draw in the lab. The lobby has a new security checkpoint for all patients and visitors. The first time I went in, security was fine but the lab hadn't received the order. I went out to the car and called the Dr to have it sent in. I went back to have the blood draw, and a different security person was present. He was rude, confrontational, highly unprofessional, and made me physically afraid to return to the facility. He told me that he needed to "teach me a lesson about respect" for speaking up about my safety and medical needs. I'd conclude that he felt that women and LGBT folks should be neither seen nor heard. It was humiliating.

I love Sutter Amador. I’ve been in the ER two many times to count. My last experience was due to abdominal pain. The doctor did a CT scan, and shortly after, asked if I had someone that could sit with me. Upon further conversation with the RN ended the call, my parents arrived. I was told I have stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and needed to be transferred to Sutter Sacramento. Who were awesome as well. In December I had a bowel perforation, and required emergency surgery. In the past 8 months, I’ve been admitted 5-6 times, all the staff are professional, try and bring humor into the situation (which was appreciated.). I would recommend Sutter Amador to anyone in need.

If I could give no stars, I would. A couple days ago we were forced to come here because Mark Twain ER was so busy they couldn’t be bothered to see my elderly mother in law. She had an extremely bad fall, hitting her head, was in severe pain and could hardly move. You know what this place did Gave her pain meds, an ice pack and said to take it easy. They discharged her within HALF AN HOUR of seeing her. We took her to another hospital because that same night she was confused on where she was and fell out the back door!! The ER we took her to said she had a badly fractured wrist, broken ribs and much more!! Asked why she wasn’t treated when the incident happened. And now she’s stuck because there could be more wrong with her head, considering she blacked out while going down two tiny steps. So….NO STARS. And we will be taking legal action because how dare you!!

I wish I could write a negative Star! I’ll never take my kids to the er there ever again. My kids were both sick as heck and my two year old miserable I asked for swabs for strep they swabbed the insides of their cheeks!!!!!! The NP treated me like I was stupid when they couldn’t even swab my kids correctly when I showed her my sons rash she told me it was Diaper rash!!!!!!!Today I took my kids to their regular Dr and would you look at that they both have strep and the rash my son now has from head to toe is hand foot mouth. Never again they care so little about who they ARENT helping obviously just there to waste time and collect.

The ER here is absolutely horrible. The receptionist are very rude and unprofessional, my boyfriend and I went to the ER for the same reason (Walking pneumonia or Bronchitis) as we've both been very sick the last few days. We were both treated very differently. All of our symptoms were shrugged off and narrowed down to Allergies and an Asthma attack, and improper use of an inhaler spacer (it was absolutely not, we'd already had a second opinion) the care we received while we were there was horrible, from a 4 hour wait to be even acknowledged, to another 3 hours of: chest x-rays, 4 vials of blood, being stuck in the hand once, the arm 3 times because they "couldnt find a vain," (I had to ask for something to clean my bleeding holes as i was left by the RNs to go take care of an angry patient who also was waiting "to long") when it was very obvious there was a lack of training or staffing. We wasted out time coming here to basically be told that the illnesses were all in our head and not as serious as they actually are. I will personally never be back to this ER
