Just before the pandemic in2020 I was to start some dental care. The pandemic delayed this care and then I moved here to Cathedral City. I endured at least two major dental pain episodes during the months of shutdown. I shopped around and discovered Dr.Ovanesian's Southwest Dental. He did exams and laid out a care plan to include new bridges and future implants in accordance with my insurance plan. The front office let me know my cost breakown and what I would be paying with each step. I have beeen to several appointments and am sure Ive worked with his whole staff. They are all attentive and caring. I like visiting this office. My dental work was installed and Ive had no fitting issues at all, now 4+ months. Dental work is craftsmanship and Dr. Ovanesian is definitely a skilled craftsman at his work. Thank You!

Dr was very kind when I met him. Said he could do the work I needed done without issue. As soon as I said I wouldn’t pay $500 out of pocket for a bone graft he refused to do my extraction and said I need a surgeon. According to Carolyn in the front office. Sounds like a money grab to me.

I was visiting Cathedral City. I had a tooth in pain that my dentist said was likely fractured and should be pulled. The pain became so severe that I needed help on vacation. So lucky I did. The office staff was friendly and very informative from the beginning. They gave me pricing and squeezed me in the next morning. Dr. Ovanesian and his staff really care about their patients. He looked at the x-ray and when I told him they wanted to pull the tooth he looked surprised and shook his head. He highlighted areas of the x-ray and explained the issue. No fracture -- root canal needed to be redone. He then made a call and had an endodontist squeeze me in an hour later. They redid the root canal same day. Pain gone within hours. I cannot thank Dr. Ovanesian and his staff enough. If I lived here, or was a snow bird, they would definitely be my first choice!

I have been going to Southwest Dental for about ten years. Dr. Ovanisian has done fillings, caps and an extraction (of a wisdom tooth!) for me. His work is excellent. He takes the time to make sure it is right. His staff has changed over time, but the assistants all seem to have good skills and be knowledgeable. They are also friendly. The office staff is also great to work with. They know how to keep the place well-organized. I have never had to wait beyond my appointment time. In the rare instances when I have had a problem, I was able to get an appointment fairly rapidly. I highly recommend this dental practice. You will be given an honest assessment of your dental needs. You do not need to fear that you are being talked into unnecessary dental work.

The office manager is a piece of work. I had to cancel my appointment due to a medical emergency & they want to charge me for it. Charge me for something I had no control over. They have called to cancel an appointment on the same day but there was no penalty for them. It's ok when they do it but not ok when I have to do it. My apologies for not having a crystal ball.

I highly recommend Southwest Dental. Friendly staff, state of the art equipment, and they accept most insurances. The Doctor is friendly and knowledgeable. I just had two crowns put on and they were the least painful I've ever had. Book an appointment with them today. They'll get you in quickly and take care of you and your teeth.

My daughter and I needed extensive work done. Couldn’t have asked for a more caring expert staff and an excellent dentist who knows his stuff! He made our long term treatment comfortable and a success. An upbeat beautiful spacious waiting room is usually wasted because the appointment schedule is so efficient in giving each patient ample time that we rarely waited more than five minutes. We feel well-cared for. Highly recommend!

My long-time dentist retired, so I was very happy to find Dr. Ovanesian and SW Dental. Top-notch service and staff, supported by first-rate equipment and technology. Highly recommended!
