I was living in San jose and started seeing Dr Shah for my regular cleaning appointments. She convinved me to get invisalign. After few years, we moved to different location (almost 30-40 mins away) and so I started seeing another dentist. However, I still has to visit dr Shah for my retainers. I visited first time ( after almost 1 year) but she was not interested in checking anything and just wanted to make money from my visit and ordered new retainers without knowing what was my problem. I had been suffering from gum pain because of retainers and my new dentist asked me to get check for retainers and alignment etc. My pain still continued so I booked another appointment, they gave me appt for 9 am, they make me wait for 30 minutes and then she sent her assistant to get xray. I said no to xray because I got it before 2 weeks with different dentist but no she didnt want to check that because again wanted to make money from this visit ( and my insurance didnt cover xray again after 2 weeks). She didint even check what was the problem and asked for xray. When I said no, she came to me and said I have another emergency appointment ( ofcourse more money) so she had to priortize that and asked me to wait for next 30 minutes so total 1 hr after my appointment time.

I had very poor experience with this behaviour and since I was not her regular patient, she was not even interested in checking.

Would not recommend this place.

Few Dentist can match the caliber of Dr Vandana. Not only I m able to get appointments quickly , they are pretty efficient in their treatment. Dr was smooth and absolutely I did not feel any pain or discomfort in the process. Dr was never pushy promoting her products or invisialign. I like the professionalism and integrity of the treatment and never came disappointed.

I will start by providing short history lesson, so here it goes: I have been working with my dentist for several years and abruptly found out one day that practice (including patients) was sold to current owners. I have visited Dr. Vandana Karia twice and both times felt that provided treatment was bit rushed in comparison to my previous dentist. I am waiting few days to see how well the fillings were done and then determine whether I will return for future treatments.

My subsequent visits to Dr. Karia have improved significantly. The whole staff is very professional and takes good care of you. So far my experience with this practice is good and hopefully it stays that way.

Minutes before boarding my flight from North Carolina to San Jose, CA, I fractured a molar. The 5 hour flight was not pleasant. Upon landing, I immediately did a Google search for the nearest dental clinics form the San Jose Airport. I landed at 2:30 PM. I called 3 clinics but none could see me. It was blind luck that brought me to Smiles R Us. I arrived at 3:45 PM and I was out by 4:45 with the tooth repaired. All of the staff was very friendly. The Dentist was very competent with a dry sense of humor. Her hands flowed like water with extreme precision as she repaired my tooth. Wish the building were better marked - I questioned the location (and Google Maps) as I walked in. Great experience, well done. Thank you.

Clean , well maintained space, well informed, professional doctor( I have only met Dr. Vandana Karya), courteous front lobby staff, patient and skilled technician. You can get appointments easily. I would totally recommend this place.
