What a great experience! The staff is friendly, compassionate and understanding. The Dr. is informative, fast, and gentle. I couldn’t believe how quickly I was in and out. Quality service, so much so I’m bringing my son here for sure after my experience. I’m no longer in fear of the dentist chair and you have no idea how happy that makes me!

Dr Chan has a strange policy of no parents allowed in the room with their children. I hesitantly allowed my kids to go back without me. The whole experience was weird. They split our appointments up so that the first was only to have X-rays done, the next would be the exam and the third would be the cleaning. That wasn’t explained to me until we were 2hrs in to our first appointment and nothing, but X-rays had been done. When we got in to the office for the second appointment, my daughter started to get frantic, begging me not to send her back alone. She said they hurt her and she was afraid of them. I talked with the front desk, they agreed to let me go back and so I did. When Chans assistant came in, she was enraged. She started yelling at me telling me to get out and that I can’t coddle my children their whole lives. I ask her to stop yelling in front of my daughter and to send the doctor in. The doctor tells me that is just how she is and that Americans are so sensitive and so weak. As we were leaving some of the staff were watching us with sympathy. A few of them came up to say that it’s not uncommon for that to happen and that it even happens to them. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Wanting to also add on that this doctor billed for full exams, including cleanings and other procedures that never happened.

This office is not holistic at all. Extremely unprofessional unacceptable communication standards in the office and my personal care assessments being done by an unlicensed front desk staff person without review from a licensed staff member. Terrible old musty office atmosphere that has not been updated in ages. They just use holistic as a name to draw people in. Nothing holistic about the office standards practices and policies at all. Suggest for the office staff to work on ensuring professional communication standards are always in place. And to keep their front desk person who is unlicensed from making assessments related to patient care. I wont ever go back and suggest that you find another dental office. Especially if you really want holistic this is not the place. There are lots of good dental offices out there.

My first time going to this dentist and frankly it's been a long time. I do love going to the dentist, never had a bad experience. But this team here, they were awesome!! They were thorough in the procedures I needed done (remember it's been awhile), the staff had great personalities and Dr. Chan took my insurance into consideration. When filling out the initial forms I noticed they were different than most dental offices. They take a holistic approach, everything is connected. I highly recommend Dr. Chan and his team.

I have been going to Smile Haven Dental for probably 10 years now and I’m always very happy with my experience. The girls at the front desk are so helpful and kind and they remember me every time I come in. Dr. Chan and his staff are extremely professional and personable and it is always a great experience. I know that going to the dentist isn’t the most fun thing for most people but I always appreciate my visits with them. A few years ago I moved about 15 miles away from their office but I still make the trip because I value and trust them with my dental needs. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist in the area.

The care here is very very good I gave them 5 star. Expert dentist in functional medicine - clearly lots of experience and knowledge. I liked the dental assistant and her cleaning and the ozone. And the office staff is very kind and helpful!! Good products for sale also with not high mark up.
I highly recommend this office and the dental care.

My first time at Smile Haven was such a pleasant experience! Not only did Mary Katherine take my x-rays with ease, but Dr. Chan was extremely friendly, as well as the ladies at the front desk.

Thanks to Kristina I was able to get in for a cleaning last minute and couldn’t be happier! 🙂

Dr. Chan and his staff are professional and fun. Because of Dr. Chan my mouth is pain free and I have had a lot of work done. I wish I met him 40 years ago. His prices are less than half of most dentists and pain free.
What more could you want in a dentist? Oh, and he is a great guy. Christina, the office manager, has been with him over half her life so you know he is a great guy. I won't give her age but she has been there a while. I highly recommend SmileHaven Dental Center and Dr. Chan.
