terrible people and service, made my family member reschedule 3 times to do a simple task. The front desk girl is also clueless and can’t do her job. It seems they only care about their well being.

The dentist here did a bad job with my inlay. After I left this dentist and went to both another local dentist, and additionally when I moved across the country and saw another new dentist, they both said I should get it redone because it was done so badly. Unfortunately insurance only covers this procedure every 5 years.
My husband also had negative experiences at this practice.

Also, Smile Emporium never processes costs through insurance first. Every time I went, they billed me up front like $600.

I would not recommend this dentistry.

First visited 2 years ago when Dr. Zakar still owned the practice bc it's 5 min from my house. On the first visit my tooth was drilled for an overlay that continued to cause me problems over the years (first time dental work ever persisted for me).

Last week, the overlay came out for a 3rd time and was not sure what to expect knowing that the office had changed ownership. To my delight, the new team was incredibly transparent and communicative with my scenario (which effectively was that insurance was not going to cover and I was in need of a crown). I'm pretty risk averse so had my reservations still, however scheduled the crown to be installed 2 days later. Happy to say that the entire experience exceeded my expectations and now 2 days later I for the first time in 2 years feel great about state of my tooth.

Dr. Soliman and team have gained a customer for life! If you were burned by Zakar in the past, don't let that stop you from trying the new team - they are as professional a dental team as you'll find.

A fantastic first visit with Dr. Cyr and team. They are clearly experienced and efficient in every way. My appointment was at 10 am and I was in a chair and done before 11 am, and Cynthia, receptionist even got all my family’s next appointments scheduled. I was home by 11:15 am ready to keep working. Very happy they are here in San Pedro.

We have been patients of Smile emporium since they opened. We have been patients since year 2011 and We have been extremely happy with the practice and the doctor. Almost 9 years of being a happy patient!!!! Both me and my husband are patience, and we have really enjoyed the professionalism of the office. We have had cleanings, exams, deep cleanings, many cavities filled, crowns and even a root canal. All of the services provided were very professional and had great outcomes. We can definitely recommend this practice to anyone. If you’re in the area and need a great dentist, Dr. Zaker is great!

Worst dental experince with my son. My appointments were constantly cancelled at the last minute after I had already requested time off from work. Once, my sons appointment was cancelled while we were already in the waiting room, I pulled my son from school early and lost part day from work for nothing. They also took my deductible for spacers that they never installed for my son. They didn't do the molding correctly, we had to go twice for the molding. The spacers came out after 1 day, at the follow up appointment to reinstall them, that's when the dentist cancelled while we were in the waiting room and said to come back in 1 year. Actually, the receptionist told me this, the dentist didnt even bother to talk to me himself, I honestly think that he wasnt even there and the receptionist forgot to call me to cancel....once again. I filled out a refund request but never recieved one. The dentist also missed cavities and a baby tooth that was stuck. My son has to have an extraction now for his baby tooth. I used my personal dental insurance, but if you're military, defintely don't come here, they will charge for dental work that they haven't done, and tell you come back 1 year later, if you're even still stationed here. Since they have already billed, you can't go to another dentist because there are limits for certian types of dental work per year. You would have to go through a dispute with the dental plan. This seems Iike a type of scam.

An incredible experience! Dr. Zaker, Theo and Julissa make a terrific team. From my first consultation to my last procedure they were friendly, caring, patient and professional. The office follows all safety guidelines and protocols for the COVID-19 Pandemic. The health and safety of their patient is a high priority. Them having the latest technology in office made my treatment go quickly and seamlessly. In general it was one of the best dental experiences I have encountered and I highly recommend this office.

2470 S Western Ave Ste A San Pedro-They are liers and thieves!!! DR.Zaker told me I have decays and I need 4 crowns ASAP! When I asked him how long his crowns good for and what's his guarantee - he told me go find another dentist!!! 🫤😠I ended up going to Dr Sheng-who by the way is wonderful and recommended by many!!!After x-rays and an exam - He told me I don't have any decays and I don't need crown now , possibly in the future and only 2! I am shocked but happy 😁🙏🎉Also I am transferring my daughter to Dr Sheng as well. When they looked at her insurance records it showed that she had four feelings done at the other dentist-DrZaker. But she did not! She only had X-rays and cleaning done that day and I asked for pricing for the feelings. I never even schedule an appointment for feelings. They told me they will send me pricing information over the mail and they never did but now it shows that her feelings were done and our insurance was charged. So now she cannot have feelings done for free at the other office. I called their manager and waiting to hear from them. This is all just very crazy and frustrating and the waste of my time and energy. I just wanted to post this year so you all know that this can happen to any of you here or anywhere.
