I usually don’t write reviews but I wanted to share the wonderful experience I had getting dental work done at Scott’s Valley Dental Wellness. Dr. Melanie Asnani is amazing, she made me feel so calm and relaxed (I don’t like the numbing injections so I usually have a bit of anxiety when it comes to those haha). She takes her time with patients and wants to make the experience as enjoyable as possible. I would recommend her practice to anyone, especially if you are someone who has anxiety about visiting the dentist. Josh and Nikita are very friendly and fun to talk with; they all made me feel welcomed right away. Will now be going here for all and any dental work!! Thank you 😊

I made an appointment for a Teeth Cleaning. Arrived for my cleaning appointment, filled out forms and my coverage was verified through Delta Dental/Pipe Trades. As I was preparing to meet DDS Asnani I was informed by the Receptionist they would be doing x-rays and an exam before Cleaning. I called my previous Dentist of 10 years to have x-rays (November 2023) emailed but they were closed until Monday. Receptionist verified through Delta Dental that I had x-rays done 11-17-23. I said I was not interested in x-rays and exam as I just recently had both at my Cleaning appointment in November. I did NOT schedule for anything other than a Cleaning and at NO TIME during my scheduling were these other services mentioned or agreed upon. Dr. Asnani said for "Safety" she needed to see the "inside" of my teeth. I told her she would be Cleaning the "outside" of my teeth and I was not interested in x-rays and an exam as we had scheduled me for a Cleaning!!! She refused me the Cleaning without the x-rays and exam so I left. Horrible experience. We had a verbal contract and appointment scheduled for a Cleaning. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed dealing with them. But when Dr. Asnani came in she spent a good 5 minutes giving me excuses for why she didn't want to work on me. I asked the office when I first called and explained my situation. I said if you don't want to work with me then please tell me now. They said it was fine. The staff seemed fine about it. Until the Dr. came in. It was a huge waste of time. I am pretty disappointed after seeing these other reviews. But she clearly didn't want to work on me and couldn't just say that. She didn't even look in at my teeth! She knew I was nervous about coming in and decided to handle it this way.

I would recommend to skip this dentist and try the next.

I came into this business with a friend of mine that I work for who has a developmental disability , who needed urgent dental care and was in pain. I actually called the night before and told them it was an emergency and they took him in right away. I often get concerned when I take the people I work for into a new medical establishment that I have not used before because change can cause a lot of anxiety, and if the doctor does not have a lot of experience with the developmentally disabled community there can be difficulty with communication resulting in diminished quality of care. This was not the case in this situation. The dentist seemed to have a level experience with people with Autism, she directly connected to my friend and was able to have very compassionate and effective communication with him, even though he was stressed out and had slight difficulty following her directions. The dentist was very friendly and understanding and so were her staff. They were also very knowledgeable and have great customer service skills. One thing that is huge to me is that even though she knew I was the care provider taking down all of the information, she directly spoke to him and explained everything to him in a way that he would understand, and did not speak to me as if he was not there.

We are going back next week for the tooth removal, and I feel confident and comfortable and so does my friend. I am excited to continue to work with this dentist, I would recommend her to everybody in the county... p.s. if you pay cash she offers a 10% discount.

Dr Asnani is a life changing dentist. Her expertise, humor, kindness, awareness, skill, and compassion for her patients has made my visits to her something I look forward to. Who looks forward to the dentist? If I could give her 10 stars I would.

I highly recommend Dr. Asnani and the kind staff at Scotts Valley Dental Wellness. My previous dentist was unable to diagnose my condition. By the time I saw Dr. Asnani, I was in a lot of pain and exhausted. Not only was she able to quickly figure out the problem, she was kind, caring and professional. She helped me quickly get out of pain and back to my normal routine! I also found the prices quite fair and reasonable.

My dentist recently retired and Dr. Melanie Asnani took over his practice. Recently after taking x-rays, she said I needed a crown replaced and sent the estimate to my insurance. I was told the cost to me would be over $700. I called her office to get clarification and no one called me back. I decided to change dentists at this point. After looking at my x-rays and examining my tooth, the new dentist told me I did not need my crown replaced, and if he had replaced it, the cost to me would be $400 not over $700. I've now changed dentists.
