After reading some reviews, I was a bit nervous. This was my first time visiting a local hospital, and I was bringing my children in for vaccinations. I booked the appointment about a week in advance through the Sanitas app.

When we arrived at CIMA, we took a number at the main hall and went to the triage desk. My translator hadn’t arrived yet, but to my surprise, there was a young staff member at the desk who spoke English. She told us to follow the orange line to a waiting room, where we waited for our number to be called.

Even though we already had an appointment, there was still some waiting time—about half an hour. When our number was called, my translator joined us and we met with Dr. Maria from pediatrics. She was very thorough, carefully checking all the vaccine records we had brought from abroad, and then prescribed the new vaccines.

The nurse was also wonderful—very efficient with the injections and able to comfort the children in English. Both of my girls each got two shots, and neither of them cried; they were chatting and laughing with the patient nurse the whole time.

Overall, my first visit to this hospital was a positive experience.

Honestly, I don’t know where the bad reviews are coming from! Super nice hospital, top quality care, amazing doctors and nurses, and rooms better than the Hilton! We were taken care of ten times better than in Switzerland!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE WITH GASTROCOPY AND DIGESTIVE DOCTORS: I read all the negative reviews and they scared me but I had an excellent experience twice at this hospital. It couldn't been better. They took amazing care of me, there was hardly a wait, and I couldn't have been in better hands. I rarely leave reviews but I just wanted to share this experience. I do speak Spanish so I didn't have to experience that aspect but it was all really seamless end to end.

Appointment times are non existent. Whatever is the time of your appointment, be prepared to wait minimum of 45 minutes anyway. It feels more like a public medical system from Eastern Europe (where I’m from) than a private hospital. I had an ultrasound and it was the worst ultrasound experience in my life - and I’ve had many before. The doctor didn’t say a word about what is she seeing, just said I need a control in 6 months (why? control of what?). And then left without even saying good bye or „that’s all”. Wow.

All staff are super attentive, professional and friendly. The equipment is modern and everything is clean and in great conditions. All that gives a lot of confidence. Very positive experience.

First and foremost I´d like to point out that physicians are well-educated, the staff is friendly and they have good health facilities.

Then, why giving them 1 star only?

Well, because Sanitas only cares about their bottom line.

They assess physicians performance based on how many patients each can book a day. It seems to me that healing patients is not their priority, but making huge profits.

For that reason, doctors are obliged to diagnose illnesses as fast as possible without taking all factors into consideration. In my case, each visit I’ve had in the last year with the Gastroenterologist hasn’t lasted more than 5 minutes each because of that urgency and endless need to see other patients and meet his KPI. As a result, the prescribed treatments haven´t worked on me and I keep having the same disease…

If you speak English, and you are pregnant do not go to this hospital. No one speaks English and there is no continuity of care which is very important with pregnancy. They do not try to help you, but blame you for misunderstandings. No direct line to speak to OBGYN reception provided after trying to contact them through customer service. Absolute disaster.

The worst experience ever! Sanitas has a really outdated system where they are asking to confirm medical decisions and authorizations which were already prescribed by doctors. We are in the AI era, what is the sense of all these complicated systems! Today I had an authorized ultrasound, and I left the requesting paper from the doctor at home. Although I had the number of the document in the app and it was authorized, the receptionist at the radiodiagnóstico (I guess he was Argentinian, coz he did not stop drinking mate) was not able to check the documents. Instead of helping me, he was lecturing me about why I forgot it at home. I guess Sanitas is paying such a bad amount of money that they don't care about people. He did not help me; I'm not sure if he was even checking the system. What an outdated system they have, employing rude people!
