They are the rudest inhospitable office I have had the agony of dealing with. Never a kind word or even a polite greeting. I give my friend a ride because she had to come here. I would never tolerate them as my dental office. I even asked if they had a toothbrush for my friend and they said that they don't carry them. I asked about what they give kids as a gift bag and they said they don't really get kids here. I understand why not.

Bad experience here. Very questionable practices. I had a crown put in here at an odd angle. This in itself is a first for me, prior to this I've never had an issue with fit or placement at a dental visit. After I noticed my bite causing me pain at the contact point of the crown I returned to have it refitted or modified at the correct angle that would not cause me pain.
First red flag was the always aloof dentist, Dr. Ota, did not perform this refitting and cementing but instead pawned it off on her husband who was only a dental assistant at the time of my service. That doesn't seem legal, and from what I've googled, it is NOT legal at all. Trying to cut corners and provide inferior care to double up appointments? Shady as hell. At no point during this did Dr. Ota even check in to make sure he was doing an okay job.

2nd red flag, I went in to have my wisdom teeth removed. Instead of simply removing my wisdom teeth, they removed my wisdom teeth AND a molar without informing me they would be doing anything but the wisdom teeth. Said tooth didn't really seem like it needed to be removed either. Worse, when I finally came out of amnesia, I found that one of the nurses/attendants (don't know her name but she was an overweight black woman) had taken my cell phone from me without any consent from me, or even my mother who was there with me, opened up my phone and used it to record videos of me recovering from my amnesia and posted it to my snapchat, zero regard for my privacy, consent or anything a normal person might care about. This is such a bizarre and screwed up thing to do, much less to do something so brazenly.

Not returning to this place and I will be making sure everyone I knows this place is no good.

They need to make sure that all staff is giving out the correct information to EVERYONE. They previously told me that my child was not to eat anything the day of but failed to mention he couldn't have water either. Once I got there they saw my child drink water didn't say anything. They had me fill out all the paperwork only to then tell me they couldn't take my child in because he had drank water. They refuse to schedule my child either early morning or late afternoon even after explaining to them that I can't take days off.

I am very pleased with Dr. Ota and her staff. They are all very friendly. Dr. Ota is an exceptionally personable dentist. She explains in detail what your options are and proceeds according to your wishes. She does her best to make sure you are pleased before she releases you. I have been going to the Salida Dental Group even before it became Dr. Ota's business and am even more pleased since she took over. Her husband, Chris is very friendly and helpful as well.

Dr. Mendez is amazing. She is very detail oriented. Educates you on what she is wants to do to mitigate the problems, as well as what you can do to make your dental health better. She also makes sure you are as comfortable as possible in the chair. She is a wealth of knowledge. I saw Dr. Ota as well a while back. And I can say much of the same. I also feel the prices on dental work are much more affordable here. The whole team is friendly.
