I went to Dr. Barnhart’s office when I first moved to Redding. I was very impressed by her office and her staff was so friendly and took their time with me on my initial visit, answering all my questions. I wanted to get a new retainer and they did a phenomenal job on making it. The reason I chose not to go back however is because during my first visit, I was told I needed to book appointments to have 8 fillings. This came as a shock to me because I had never had a cavity in my entire life nor any tooth pain and I was 28 years old. I found it appalling to go from 0 cavities to needing 8 fillings in one visit. I was concerned so I booked an appointment to get the first set done. I had never had Novocaine and again, the office was very kind and walked me through it. After thinking about the situation more, I decided I should get a second opinion about the other fillings because again, I couldn’t believe I needed 8 teeth filled…. The next dentist I saw said I didn’t have any need for fillings and that her perspective was that drilling into teeth can compromise the integrity of the tooth and shouldn’t be done unless needed. I feel Dr. Barnhart’s philosophy might be to do fillings as a preventative measure, so be aware of this if you decide to go. I wish I could have returned to the office, but I don’t want to pay for fillings, go through the pain of novocaine, nor potentially compromise tooth integrity for something I don’t really need. That being said, if you do need fillings, she did a great job on mine says my new dentist.

Dr. Barnhart's staff is amazing! I always receive the best care. Dr. Barnhart is very professional and very knowledgeable in what she does. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a fantastic dentist.

Going in for basic treatment, i was a little nervous. For my first time in years having to be numbed, i was expecting the worst
(considering my old dentist was less than gentle). I was VERY pleased with the amount of calm Dr. Barnhart brought me. She was helping ease my anxiety, and was extremely efficient. Not only her, but the entire staff. They were all wonderful, and i know i'm in good hands!

Don't go here, had a filling fail in less then 6 months. They wanted to charge full price to fix their shoddy work again. After going to this dental practice for 10 years. Rachel took over I thought she would be as good as the past dentist. But with one failed filling, and another that is rough and sticks out on my front tooth. I won't be paying good money for bad work anymore. When confronted about Poor work staff just brushed a long term customer off, as if they couldn't care less. Appears they don't care about loyal customers, just money. I will miss the staff that always did my cleanings they were awesome, but if Rachel won't stand by her work, then there's no reason to come here anymore.

I can't say enough good things about the entire staff. I was nervous about my appt but as soon as I walked in I was treated so kindly that my stress was already starting to disappear. Then the professional staff started my procedures and put me so at ease. Every single one of you were so kind and professional. My experience was so different than what I expected. You all gave me knowledge of how to improve my dental care. I learned how to floss and brush that I have done wrong all these years! Thank you everyone for making me comfortable!

Finding a new dentist when you move can be a little intimidating. I'm so glad I went to Dr. Rachel's office. The front desk staff was welcoming and friendly, the hygienist Abby helped me feel at ease and Dr. Rachel was very helpful and informative. And the office dog is adorable. They made me feel like family and I can't recommend them enough.
