To be honest, I was excited to see Dr. Lee today for my appointment as I had seen good reviews about her. I didn’t know that I would be seeing her associate. Her associate came in, took a quick two-second glance at the xrays, and then proceeded to diagnose me with eight cavities on all molars. I am a dentist myself and get frequent checkups from my associates — I have never had a cavity before, have never been diagnosed with even one, and I get cleanings every 6 mos-1 year. I actually had been expecting her to dx a nightguard because it’s pretty obvious that I grind my teeth, but she didn’t dx it at all. Before I could even comment on her interesting diagnosis, she rushed to the next patient (the office was pretty slow, by the way) and did not give me a chance to inquire about these so called eight fills. These caries are not even visible on my FMX, and my associate did another exam right after and she confirmed what I already knew (that they were slight stains). The only kudos I’d like to give is to the hygienist, who did a great and thorough job with my cleaning. Dr. Lee, I’d highly recommend that you re-evaluate your associate’s diagnosing… I’d hate for your patient base to be overdiagnosed… and I am not super happy because this is the kind of diagnosing that gives dentists a bad rep.

Went today because I been having pain in my upper left molar all weekend. No one was in the office but she was rushed for some reason. Unfortunately, Dr. Harris is out and I was stuck seeing Dr. Lee. She seem like she didn't want to give antibiotic because I told her they give me yeast infections. She the only Dr. that has refused Diflucan with the antibiotics. Anyway, I have an appointment to a specialist that she referred me to. If they act anything like her, I will politely walk out and find someone else.

Please please please know when you go into 1 of Dr. Lees offices for a cleaning that ONLY the Dr. Or the Dental Hygienist are allowed to clean a child or adults teeth. The dental assistance are NOT legally licensed to polish or clean any patient's teeth.
A polish is NOT a cleaning, this is illegal, unethical and out of the scope of practice. To clean a child's teeth there must be a Registered Dental Assistant at minimum. I feel bad that the assistance are put in a position to have to perform illegal acts. She/they are such hard workers and only desire to keep their jobs. Yet, they are still NOT allowed to clean anyone who is 14 or older and also the assistant MUST BE A REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT, this is higher than just a Dental Assistant. There's NOT any Registered Dental Assistants employed at the office in Beaumont at the time I was working there.
I would highly recommend asking when making an appointment to see the Dental Hygienist to make sure you and your child are getting proper care. The empmoyer is to have the staffs licenses displayed where patients can view them and know they are getting proper service fron the proper, leagaly licensed employee. I am a Registered Dental Hygienist and have seen this go on in the office on a daily basis while I was there. This is NOT legal and if you are ONLY having a polish done, you or your child are NOT recieving an actual cleaning. This can result in bacteria left around the gum tissue, leading to gum disease and decay.

Alslo, a dental assistant or registered dental assistant is NOT legally allowed to place a crown/cap or remove any cement from around the gum tissue or crown at any time.

The staff is great, specifically Tina, Justine, and Dr. Harris. Tina and Justine are always friendly and helpful. Dr. Harris is kind, funny, and patient with answering any questions. She's really good about explaining what she's doing as she goes. Would highly recommend.

First of all I would like to say thank you to my dentist the way they do their job is less pain. Also the staff is so friendly and light hands you’ll never know it was done already. Just went today and I know taking out wisdom tooth is hard but this thing is the longest she removed. I’m pleased to hear and say thank you because I do not need surgery for it but it will be taking a while to heal. Less pain as she took out blood and do what ever it takes to heal fast and less pain. I trust her for what she done. Definitely will stay and come back. It’s just me the pain in the butt that won’t go because I’m chicken. LoL. Giving 5 stars and would recommend this facility and her.

Dr. Nomi Lee is by far the best dentist I have ever been to, i go there myself with 2 or my 3 children and she is amazing. The staff is really nice, dr lee always takes the time to explain what she is doing before and while she is doing it, even for a simple extraction. My daughter loves going there because she is so good with kids. I'd give 6 stars if I could

I was a patient at Nomi Lee's Dentistry in the Beaumont location for over a year. I did not have any sensitivity or discomfort with my teeth until I had 4 fillings done by Nomi Lee. I had fillings done before at a different dentist's office before, but this time I felt extreme sensitivity to cold and I'm not able to chew normally right after the procedure with Nomi. I went back to her office twice. First visit, she said it was normal to feel sensitive right after getting the fillings. Second visit, she said all the discomfort was due to me grinding my teeth badly at night (I highly doubt it, none of my family have notice me ever grinding my teeth at night.) To top it off, she again tried to sell me a night guard and to inject Botox to weakening my chewing muscles. With a heart that is filled with regrets I was hoping my sensitivity would reduce by time. 6 months later, I called again to confirm my appointment with the hygienist who I trust and feel comfortable with. They told me the date and time, however they also inform me that they will refuse to serve me because I gave them a bad review on Yelp. Again I updated my Yelp review based on what had happened today. I got a reply from them saying they left me a voicemail to ask me go back to the office because I didn't return their call so that they refused to serve me. I will go get a print out of my calls' record and show them that I called 3 times. NO ONE answered the phone. Thank you for anyone that took their time to read my long review about my terrible experience with Nomi Lee. I will pray for her, to be a more attentive dentist who will her job instead of leaving her patient with discomfort and pain.
