I needed to find a new dentist. I called Midtown Dental Group, and they were able to accommodate my request and made an appointment. Dr. Taroian is an excellent dentist. Very knowledgeable, extremely helpful and very professional. I highly recommend this dental office for any type of dental work you need.

A few days ago, I had an appointment for a dental procedure to fill and crown a tooth, which I had been waiting over a month for. When I arrived at the clinic, the receptionist informed me that my insurance wouldn’t cover the full costs, and I would need to pay $150 upfront. I paid the amount, despite the fact that my insurance had previously quoted me $56 for the procedure.

After completing the necessary paperwork, I was escorted to the dental chair. The assistant prepared everything, and soon the dentist arrived, explained the procedure, and gave me a numbing injection. He then stepped out, saying he would return shortly.

To my surprise, during this time, the receptionist entered the room with another form, claiming that the cost of my treatment had changed. She explained that my insurance wouldn’t cover the additional amount, and I would now need to pay another $200 out of pocket! I was stunned.

I immediately told her that this was unacceptable, as they had a responsibility to inform me of all costs beforehand. I felt manipulated, as they waited until I was mid-procedure to demand more money. I stood up, removed the dental bib, and told them I was no longer interested in proceeding.

The receptionist then tried to offer me a discount, but by that point, my trust in them was completely shattered. I demanded a refund for the $150 I had already paid, which they processed. I walked out of the clinic furious and determined never to return.

I will be filing a formal complaint to report their deceptive practices. This type of behavior, especially from a professional establishment, is unacceptable. I urge anyone considering this clinic to be extremely cautious and ensure you’re fully aware of their tactics before proceeding.

It’s always hard to find a good dentist someone who can make you feel like family is patient and really looks out for your personal needs! My Dr. was super sweet and patient and really helped me along my nerves as I needed a crown and I’ve never had one before. Kathy is always so amazing and comforting as well as everyone else that works there! I’m thankful for them as they also helped me with my finances. My experience overall was just amazing!!! I would give it 100 stars if I could.

One of the best and most honest dentists I’ve been to! From my wisdom teeth to routine cleanings they are always transparent and looking out for my health and preferences. The front staff is always accommodating and realistic while the doctor is always genuine and informed. I actually left another local dentist to come here after they told my my previous dentist was overcharging me for specific services.

Would definitely recommend Midtown Dental to anyone who’s looking for a dentist or even considering switching from their own.

Midtown dental group is amazing I have been coming to this office for 10 yrs and the dr and staff are amazing, Kathy is the best she Greats you with a smile and so kind she’s very noble and the sweetest, Dr Hamlet is amazing he will tell you what he is doing and along the way he tells stories or talks to you during treatment just for you not to think about the work he is doing. I highly recommend this place.. if I could give them 100 stars I would.. don’t be alarmed when you see the twin brothers I was surprised they are both amazing dentist Dr Hamlet and Dr Harmick!!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Taroian and the incredible care provided at Midtown Dental Group. Dr. Taroian has a unique talent for calming even the most anxious patients (like me!). They explain everything clearly and sprinkle in a bit of humor to keep things light, which goes a long way in helping you relax.
