I've been a patient of Dr. Stivers for years and even though I moved away from Santa Barbara I still come back to see her. She is the kindest and most thorough dentist I've ever met. She has helped me with dental emergencies in the past, with so much compassion and concern.

Rita, the office manager, is a true gem! She is efficient, thoughtful and so knowledgeable about different insurances. It's really a joy to see them both twice a year.

Dr. Michelle Stivers' dental office is the best I've ever visited, and her exemplary service is unique in my experience. She does her own cleaning and X-rays, so she spends a lot more time looking at and caring for my teeth than any other dentist I've known. When she tells me my teeth look good, I know she has really taken the time to examine them. When I've had cavities, she's dealt with them on the spot rather than saying make another appointment. Finally she and her wonderful office manager Rita are truly lovely, gracious and caring women. It is a joy to go and visit them. Never said that about a trip to any other dentist's office!

Dr. Stivers is a thoughtful, caring medical professional. My teeth have been problematic for many years and I have felt well cared for by her and her wonderful office manager, Rita. As she cleans my teeth she is familiarizing herself with their condition which I prefer as a methodology of care.
She and I share a goal of keeping my natural teeth as long as possible through preventive home care, frequent observation and conservative intervention.
For those like me who prefer anaesthesia given with expertise and precision without unnecessary pain or redundancy because it wasn't placed or done correctly, I would recommend Dr. Stivers as well.

Dr Stivers is a very caring dentist. She is gentle and patient. She did not rush to do the work even when the first dose of anaethesia didn't take. It even made her late for a meeting but as I said, she cares for her patients, not wanting to cause pain.
Rita, her secretary, is easy to talk to & always is friendly on the phone and in person. We were very lucky they took over the business when our dentist retired 14 1/2 yrs ago.
