fraudulent, their therapists aren’t in the legal database so they aren’t licensed. They would rather lie to me than just tell me no about getting treatment without quitting pot, and I don’t respect people who don’t tell me the truth. Can’t do elementary school level math, they sent me a check for $100 and then a bill for $57.17, because they’re too stupid to subtract that and just send me a check for $42.83. “Anything you do we aren’t at fault for because you received this letter” legally null and void bc I can’t consent to terms I haven’t read yet. You forced that on me without my consent. That’s gross. And illegal. Apologize, take it back, and erase the fake debt. You broke the law.

I previously was a patient here around 2019 had a problem getting needed prescriptions refilled for asthma apparently there was a disagreement. I moved out of the area and now I have moved back and I have been assigned to matheson clinic by calviva however when I went in there to establish service they told me that I had been discharged because of a previous misunderstanding. This does in my opinion constitute a problem for me because I don't have transportation to get to Sonora so it's an extreme hardship which is both economic and also affects my health both physiologically and emotionally. Apparently because of a disagreement with a prior provider who may not even be working here anymore this clinic has decided to refuse services and I'm going to file a complaint with calviva and also with the state of California because refusing to treat a disabled person based on a misunderstanding sounds a lot like a form of discrimination against the disabled.

HORRIBLE CLINIC!!!! STAY AWAY!!!
I have had nothing but issues with this clinic. In my time with Mathiesen (which is over a year now) have seen no progress and been offered no help whatsoever with my health issues. I have had to leave one doctor due to her total lack of care or interest in my well-being, and now waited several months to see my new doctor, which was supposed to be earlier this week. Instead, their computers went down and they canceled my appointment just hours before the meeting; telling me they would call me tomorrow to reschedule. No call… I called the day after and they booked me 3 months out. Not caring one bit that I have a pressing medical condition with timely test results that need to be viewed by a doctor.
This example is only the latest in a long string of carelessness, ineptitude, and unprofessional behavior I have witnessed from all departments of this clinic.
Between the uncaring “doctors”, a referral department that I've never witnessed perform a task correctly, and extremely rude and uncaring receptionists, Mathiesen Memorial Health Clinic is a horrible place to address any health issue. I advise you to stay away at all costs!

Dumpster fire. I've been a patient for about 5 or 6 years. I've only had to go a handful of times and thank God for that. In that amount of time I have had 3 different doctors. Not by my choice. Since I don't go that often, I've needed to have a new patient appointment every time. As most of you know, new patients are not priority and I had to wait weeks or even months to see a doctor. Just making an appointment was a task in itself. I would call and get no answer almost never get an answer. No matter the time of day. Overall I've had very poor experience with this office processes. I can say that the only thing this office has going for them is the staff is very nice and friendly. The people at the front desk are great and when I was able to see a doctor they were nice before leaving to go somewhere else. Which is kind of a red flag now that I think about it. I usually don't leave reviews but after my wife was made to feel like she was abusing her medication because of a mistake in the pill count by the doctor. Then refusal to help her rectify the situation leaving her without necessary medication for 8 days, I had to say something.

Melissa Ronnenburg is a great practitioner. My first appointment was very thorough - labs, annual testing, and referrals to specialists based on my medical history were ordered right away. I trust her medical judgment and the office has been great at getting referrals out quickly. Vaccinations & boosters were also ordered & completed right away.
I’m very grateful that Melissa actually takes the time to listen, and to offer different treatment options for whatever I’m seeing her for. She is non judgmental, friendly, and very professional. The staff at Mathiesen are also professional, competent, and friendly.
I had one very bad experience at Mathiesen, with a different provider. Clinic management listened & a fair resolution was agreed upon. In spite of this single occurrence, I rate Mathiesen five stars for the treatment I’ve received so far.

The only medical facilities in Tuolumne County that held integrity to get me the treatment I needed. They were the first who actually got my work comp records and then worked with my MediCal California health and wellness insurance, to get the treatment refused to me in Tuolumne County. By referring me to UCDavis. Then working with my insurance and UCDavis to get me started on a treatment plan. I've received surgeries and a few more, that Adventist health laughed at me and called me a opiate addict for saying the issue existed. And now my opiate Allergy is documented. Even though at one point it was necessary. And UCDavis gives me Benadryl now during and after surgeries now when there's no way around synthetics that also trigger allergic reactions. No boudt I would be dead now without care received here; after 10 years of pleading for help.
