My experience was so good! Dr Martin was great at letting my know what he was going to do and as he was doing it. He was gentle, yet fast and a job well done!
I had the procedure for a cap, and it was painless! Even the numbing injection was painless. I would recommend him, and his office anytime, and his hygienist is particularly great, caring, and professional!

Dr Martin is excellent: his energy is calm, clear, and focused, he subscribes to minimally invasive procedures, has excellent communication skills, and does beautiful work. His staff is professional, on the ball and respond quickly to short notice issues: on Tuesday I called the office from central CA regarding a cracked molar that was rapidly becoming a problem, they got me in the next day and Dr Martin was able to stabilize and crown the tooth thus averting the need for more serious procedures i.e. root canal, etc. Thank you!

I am someone who is TERRIFIED of going to the dentist- I avoid it like the plague and would rather have brain surgery. (Ok, ok, I’m being a bit dramatic, but in truth, I am petrified of going to the dentist.) I recently found myself in a situation where I completely cracked a chunk off my back molar and I didn’t have a current dentist since mine had moved. It was necessary that I was seen soon, so I reluctantly called Dr Martin’s office because my husband had recently seen them, had a great experience, and I didn’t know what else to do. They kindly fit me in that very same day, which is incredible!! They were patient and kind and explained everything well. The office was very clean and there was ample parking. Both the dental hygienist and Dr Martin were fantastic. I highly recommend this practice!

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Martin and his staff!
Adriana at the front desk is the best… friendly, helpful (especially with insurance) and just really nice.
Shannon the hygienist is very nice, friendly, interesting and pain-free!
Mainly, I like Dr. Martin’s approach to dental care. Along with being very friendly, he always explains all the issues, options and recommendations very clearly. I always leave the office feeling like I been given the best care.

Review given for gentle, kind and smart service. I have seen a mix of dentists in Santa Barbara over many decades: fancy-pants, old timers and overly hyped alternative practices. Dr. Martin is by far the most gentle and kind. He offers smart advice without reckless push to perform unnecessary procedures. His staff is similarly kind and skilled. Shannon gives a thorough clean, but I don’t feel overwhelmed by a disconnect between mouth and person. I am grateful.
