Clean facility and friendly staff. I was skeptical of a walk-in clinic because they can sometimes be over worked creating a not pleasant experience. For my first time, I was very satisfied with the attention to care and interactions with everyone in the facility. I was out within 2 hours of going in.

BEWARE All the bad reviews are true. My mother came here with a growth on her ear. We were all scared it was CANCER. She was dismissed and given no answers. When she called back about some test results to see what the growth was, the front desk answered her. The front desk proceeded to tell her “ lady cancer doesn’t hurt it’s probably not that!” And that was that, no answers. We went to other doctors to get second opinions. Turns out my mother had a very aggressive from of SKIN CANCER, which later spread down to her LYMPH NODES. The lymph nodes from the back of her ear, down to the base of her neck had to be removed. Thank God we got a second opinion, the doctors told us she would have lived about two more years without proper treatment. LifeLong shame on you!! Why are your front desk employees answering questions that doctors should be answering?!? I wouldn’t go here even if I was bleeding out on the verge of death. Take your loved ones everywhere!!

I was told by a physician at the San Pablo County Medical Center that I had an abscess that needed to be drained because it was infected.

That's certainly not good news.

I was told I had to go to the LifeLong Medical Care Clinic to have the procedure done. I have general anxiety and irritable bowel syndrome, among other inconveniences, to say I was uncomfortable with the thought of an invasive procedure is putting it mildly.

I was so anxious about the procedure, I waited an extra day to "psyche myself up", to prepare myself mentally for the pain and discomfort I was expecting.

In order to prepare myself for the procedure I deliberately did not eat anything in the morning in order for my irritable bowel syndrome to not afflict me during the procedure as I had no idea how long it might take.

When I arrived at the Clinic it was quite busy with the waiting room at about 3/4 occupancy. When I was seen, I was greeted and escorted by Tony. He was very cool, calm and collected however was not and needed to run to the restroom to get my mind straight. My anxiety was at an all time high and I found it hard to keep from shaking.

When I returned to the room Tony had escorted me to he had left to help someone else in the meantime.

That's when I met Wanda who saw my demeanor and immediately came over to check on me. To my knowledge Wanda is the head of the clinic, she was exceptionally sympathetic to my plight and did everything she could to comfort and console me, though my nerves were still shot from the anxiety. I do wish to sincerely thank everyone who had to deal with me as I was not in my prime in any way any of the days I went to the Clinic.

Wanda soon retrieved Mousley and Lidia with Mousely being the Doctor who'd perform the drain while Lidia would attend as the nurse. The two were exceptionally upbeat and had fantastic attitudes during the entire procedure, they did their level best at every turn to keep me calm and positive the whole time.

To spare you of the uncomfortable and disgusting details, I had nearly passed out twice and was having a challenging time of getting through the procedure, one way I coped with the pain and discomfort as well as my anxiety was by talking to Mousely and Lidia about anything. They were very sympathetic and tried their absolute best to talk to me but I admit through the pain I was in it was quite hard for me to keep track of any sentences I started or stopped.

After the procedure I returned for several check ups, one of which was more than the allotted amount the clinic normally provides as my abscess seemed to not be healing properly.

Mousely had suggested I go to Martinez and visit the emergency room of the Regional Medical Center there in order to have them use an ultrasound to ensure the abscess wasn't returning. Oh how foolish I feel for having postponed it on the advice of my family who said it was healing fine.

I had returned one last time to the clinic, Mousley had done everything in her power to drain the wound each time I visited but felt it was not going to improve until I received the testing and thus treatment I needed elsewhere (The Regional Medical Center in Martinez), before I left my final check up another doctor named Carson had inspected my abscess very briefly and assessed it seemed to be healing right. I only wish he had been correct, as it turned out it wasn't.

I had also had an encounter with a very polite and courteous nurse named Bianca who had done a very good job keeping me comfortable while accommodating me where available (replacing my gauze and bandages, making small talk etc), I then spoke with Millie (unfortunately I'm not sure what her position is even after she told me, I believe she is like the co-owner alongside Wanda, forgive me if that's incorrect), she was a very
kind and sincere professional.

In short I believe the staff do truly care but the facility itself lacks equipment for testing and performing more advanced procedures. The wait time isn't ideal either. 7/10 (Above average)

(5/10 is average to me if you're wondering.)

I gotta be honest... half the experiences I've had here I feel were dismissive. I was told I was having am anxiety attack when I actually was having vertigo. I'm glad it was as sevire as er but when in doubt go to er before here. One other tome the doctor was helpful. And properly diagnosed me. It seems they just want to get you out of there or having their fingers crossed you have a scrape on the knee and a common cold

Went there a day before Christmas because of an allergic reaction to food and my throat was partially closed. The assisting nurse was helpful and most staff was ready on hand with an epi-pen, but the actual physician that saw me was rude. The fact that she acted as if my allergy wasn't important was very upsetting. She asked me has this happened before and I told her yes. Then she proceeds to ask how do I know it was from the food?! Didn't I just tell you this has happened before?! It was mostly the lack of empathy. But the assistant was very helpful!
