I saw Dr. Yee for the first time today. I had some pressure and cold sensitivity on my lower back molar but no pain. Dr. Yee took meticulous measures to investigate the cause of my symptoms. Based on his observations, he made recommendations on the treatment options. I agreed and he proceeded with the procedure. 12 hours later, his treatment appears to have worked, no longer pressure sensitive and sensitivity to cold has significantly subsided; and I expect it to continue to improve over the next 24/48 hrs. Dr. Yee and his assistant, Jennifer worked great as a team to get the job done! Thank you Dr. Yee and Jennifer!

Dr. Yee is a kind, well-trained, thorough yet conservative dentist. The last two trouble spots, he responded to with a “It’s still a wait and see”. This is SO different from other dentists who jump on every little thing their super x-rays find. His office also doesn’t pester you to for a review. Roberto, my current dental hygienist, has a soft touch and good observations for how I can improve my brushing and flossing, always welcome. Natalie, the receptionist, is welcoming and efficient. And my visits have always been 100% covered by my Delta dental insurance. I’m very happy at this office.

I visited Dr. Kirby Yee's office today for the first time as a new patient. I went in for a cleaning, x rays, and an exam. Roberto who did my X Rays and cleaning did a good job. Natalie in the front desk was kind. The reason for my 3 stars is that the dentist, Dr. Kirby Yee seemed very rushed and not interested in actually staying to talk to me about other dental concerns. He asked if I got any fillings done and I hadn't heard what he said and he goes, "FILLINGS!!?" not very comforting. He did a quick exam then started walking out the door and asked if I had any questions. I only asked him about cavities because he was already walking out. Also, he/they never reviewed the dental patient concerns/history forms with me. I am not sure what the point of filling those forms out if they don't even get looked at.

Overall, it was just okay, not an excellent first time experience.

Dr. Kirby Yee has been my dentist for the past 20 plus years. I have the utmost respect and confidence in his dental expertise. The office atmosphere is so calming and the dental assistants are so friendly. It is such a family atmosphere you don’t feel like your “seeing” the dentist. My family and I have been receiving our dental care from Kirby ever since he acquired Brian Hennessys practice many years ago. He and his staff are highly skilled providers. Kirby is honest and straight forward and practices with integrity. If you have an after hours need he always gets back to you and I have never had to wait for an appointment. His office is extremely clean and equipped with cutting edge equipment. His office has a 3D printer which produced an excellent mouthguard for me. He attends dental conferences regularly staying up to date with practices and new equipment. Dental records are digital. If you happen to be a Bay Area sports fan there are some really cool baseball and basketball memorabilia adorning his office walls! In addition, the office is centrally located in San Rafael and there is a patient parking lot for convenience.
