As someone who struggles with hospitals, I cannot express enough how truly special Kindred Hospital Riverside is. It is a profoundly difficult thing to place the care of a loved one in someone else's hands, but Kindred earned my trust from the very first day. My uncle is a patient for several months, and the staff's dedication is simply amazing.
I was consistently moved by the respectful and kind way all personnel treated both my uncle and I. It is deeply reassuring to hear from my uncle each morning that he was being checked on throughout the night, and I saw firsthand the excellent care he received during the day.
My family and I are especially grateful for the support of Jo, the patient representative. With many family members living out of town and busy with work, Jo was a godsend. She proactively called us every other day with updates, making us feel connected and informed.
My uncles nurses which Im very sorry I do not remember their names, they were very polite and kind, thank you. Also, from the delicious food prepared by the kitchen staff to the immaculate care from cleaning personnel like Wendy and Yolanda. Kindred's commitment to patient comfort and dignity was evident everywhere. The staff's kindness and willingness to go out of their way to make us feel comfortable made an immense difference. Thank you, Kindred, for being so much more than a hospital. Also want to thank the security Brian for giving me my name badge, lol (which it was misspelled lol ) but he was amazing plus an amazing smile too.

I want to start by saying, I’ve made extremely huge progress while being cared for by the amazing staff at Kindred Riverside . The director of nursing was very professional and checked in from time to time to make sure I was receiving the best care. Case Manager, Celina, was exceptional. She was always prompt, attentive, kind, joyful, and caring when it came to my care and making sure I had the resources I needed. She was also engaging and 2 steps ahead of getting the job done. She made me feel safe and taken care of. Right alongside her was Jo, any compliant I had or issue, it was quickly and smoothly addressed by Jo. As a healthcare worker myself, I was extremely impressed by Jo too. She advocated for me from dietary issues with the kitchen to having doctors addressed my needs when I felt I was not being heard. My family was also very pleased with Naja and Malissa CNA professionalism and ability to follow through on task. As a fellow nurse, I was grateful for the nursing and CNA staff. They are some names I cannot recall but staff like Malissa , and Najia many others really were attentive to my care and had me, who has over 10 years in healthcare, impressed and would give them 10/10 for their care, advocating, ability to motivate, encourage and stay on task. From the kitchen, I would like to thank Hermania who, to me, has gone above and beyond on the call of duty. She always made sure to try to get the menu and diet taken care of and was always a joyful spirit when collecting orders. When she was not there, it felt like the kitchen did whatever it wanted. She single handedly appeared to keep the kitchen staff on there toes and would even collect orders for the days she would be off but on those days the kitchen staff appeared to not follow the dietary orders which could be problematic. When it came to occupational therapy, She was extraordinary and really got me through tough sessions that increased my progress tremendously. Stanley and Ryan other staff from PT services are top of the line. Truly, people who are dedicated to the care of their patients. I found that I progressed extremely quickly and much faster than anyone thought I would, but most importantly, safely. I want to take this time to thank Kindred’s staff for taking care of me. Thanks to Dr. Rana and the provider staff for their care.

Jo the advocate , Lillian Douce-OT, & Uyan-PT Lester-Rn Dalia-Rn - Jigger-ICU Rn Willito ICU RN Michael ICU Rn Rae Rn & Case Manager Mona there was many more. Always had a GREAT NURSE night shift & morning. They all had a smile on there face always came when I needed something always professional & kind. Thanks to this hospital & team behind those walls I’m home & doing much better!!!! Ty to all of them!!!

Ryan from PT is very understanding and caring for his patients and really helps motivate you to keep going, along with Lilian she makes your day better when you’re having a bad day couldn’t ask for a better team. Dulce is just as sweet as Lilian and I’m glad I got to have them to help me during my time here. Jo the patient advocate really does a great job making sure you are heard and get things resolved in a timely manner which is really appreciated when you’re there alone. Alyssa the Rn is just great I always see her changing the gloves when they are empty from every room and she is just overall a joy, she makes you laugh and makes you really feel calm. Alyssa was very nice to me while being here. I would also like to give a big shoutout to the wound care team, they do amazing work and are all sweethearts, if it weren’t for them my wounds would not be this much healed without them so thank you for being attentive with wound care.
Also big thank you to rn’s/cna’s/lvn’s: Paul, Stan, Lester, Rae, Elizabeth, sa’Mya , sienna, Victoria, Olga, daniel, Dara, monina, vangie , and Micheal. You all have been so kind and caring towards me during my time here.

I had an outstanding experience at Kindred Hospital Riverside . From the moment my mother arrived, the staff made my mother feel welcome, supported, and cared for. Every nurse, doctor, and team member went above and beyond to ensure my mother’s comfort.

The physical and occupational therapy teams were especially wonderful—they motivated my mother daily, celebrated her progress, and helped her regain strength and independence. Their patience, encouragement, and expertise made a huge difference in her healing journey.

Beyond the exceptional therapy services, the overall care she received was compassionate and professional. The staff by the name of Jo truly listened to her concerns, explained everything clearly, and treated her with kindness and respect, she was godsend to us. The hospital environment was clean, well-organized, and focused on patient safety, which gave her and my family great peace of mind.

I’m very grateful for the high level of care and support I received at Kindred. It’s clear that everyone here is committed to helping patients get better. I would absolutely recommend this hospital to anyone in need of excellent medical care and rehabilitation. By the way the pot roast was delicious at kindred Riverside cafeteria...u should try it.

On behalf of my Grandma, the nurses at Riverside Kindred were just awesome, very patient, and very helpful in the care of my Grandma. I appreciate everyone who helped care for her. Jo, the patient representaive, she was really caring for my grandma and my family. While we were there, Jo kept the family informed. Also, we loved that her nurse Allen went out of his way for my grandma, too.

This is the second time my grandma came to Riverside Kindred, and both times, my grandma was happy, especially because the ladies did an awesome job in deep cleaning her room while she was there. My family and my grandma were very pleased with cleaning and their professionalism.
The janitorial staff did a very good job. The floor is amazing (I am a custodian, and I see beyond cleaning). But other than that, they are caring and respond to patients' needs in a timely manner. Huge thanks to nurse Allen, the sweetest and most helpful. Any questions and concerns that we had, Jo answered them and made us feel safe and comfortable. We didn’t feel rushed or like my grandma was just another patient. They were very patient, considerate, and supportive.
This hospital is a really good place. Everybody is doing a great job, thank you, wound care , CNA's and Respiratory for helping my grandma. They are so friendly and helpful. Thank you for your wonderful help. God bless this place. Thank you so much!

My aunties major hospital stay at Kindred Hospital Riverside was an overwhelming challenge for our family. Before we met Mrs. Jo, we were drowning in the details of my aunties complex medical care. We had no idea what we would have done without her. As a patient advocate, Mrs. Jo provided clarity and guidance when we needed it most. She broke down my aunties treatment plan into simple, understandable terms and, in meetings, served as a calm, professional voice on our behalf. Her compassion and diligent work allowed us to shift our focus to my aunties recovery, relieving us of immense stress. Her support made a world of difference, and we are forever grateful for Jo’s dedication to patients and their families at Kindred. Your commitment to providing exceptional care is a testament to your character and expertise.

There are some excellent people here (shout out to Rae and Nina especially), but if you have any kind of medically complex case beware. RTs gaslit me for days while my mom slowly slipped into a coma. Nurses seemed unaware of her c02 retention problems and doctors constantly asked me for information rather than just read her chart. I caught her UTI before anyone else did. I had to live there, staying until past midnight, just to keep my mom alive. I was told I could bring in different bipap masks for my claustrophobic mom to try, then told actually you cant. They also then provided the wrong information to our insurance, which means my mom did not receive all the equipment she needed for the first night of her discharge.
