Doctor's nurses ER everyone.
Polite understanding hard-working couldn't do enough for you. They made me feel like family. Not a patient and the food was excellent. I thank you all for the hard work that you do.

I think hospital reviews are bogus, as it's probably all about ER waiting times, which understandably are frustrating.

JMH is amazing. I felt well taken care of by my nurses and doctors when brought in for an emergency appendectomy. Great people, great knowledge, great food.

This hospital has saved my behind many times. The staff are kind, accommodating, and professional. The doctors are knowledgeable and considerate. I believe the 2.6 star rating is inaccurate and due to ppl who are impatient.

Do not go here or send any loved ones here!!! The hospital is understaffed and does not provide proper care. My father’s platelet levels are 11 and no one has authorized a platelet transfusion. That is unacceptable.

Do not allow your loved one to be discharged without speaking to the doctor or they could go home when they are not ready. Doctors and social workers are not on the same page. Social workers try to push patients out the door and discharge them before a doctor actually authorizes it. If your loved one is being forcefully discharged without your consent with no safe plan call Connecticut protective services. It is against the law for the hospital to do this as they are legally liable for a safe discharge plan.

Don’t send your loved one here if they’re elderly and have cancer. The hospital won’t want to bother with them and will suggest sending them home to die on Hospice even when there’s more time to live. They assume the worst but my loved one recovered quite well and there was absolutely no need for Hospice.

Good luck, getting any updates from social workers, doctors, or nurses. Sometimes it took over 48 hours to get a response. When I did get a response, the nurses and social workers were not on the page with the doctors. You get conflicting information and they’re constantly telling you your patient is ready for discharge when that’s not even in the medical doctors plan. Some nurses were quite grumpy and didn’t seem to have the time of day to give an update. Remember the hospital cannot legally discharge a patient unless they have a safe plan / place to go. Don’t let this hospital bully you into discharging a patient too soon. Better yet don’t ever send someone here if someone gets admitted demand that they be transferred to Saint Francis Hospital or Bay State Hospital. This hospital should be shut down.

My dad went to the ED Monday February 24th presenting with stroke like symptoms. Initial CT was clear and they discharged him the diagnosis of ‘marijuana abuse and hyperventilation’. No explanation for symptoms, just entirely dismissive and no future testing done. Brought him to hartford hospital and he DID have a stroke that could’ve been found earlier if Goldwag just did more thorough testing. Ridiculous and unacceptable medical care that is completely unacceptable.

Do not go to ER. I went there for a Ctscan because my physician knows I have diverticulitis and I told the PA this and she said I think u have a UTI. She gave me antibiotic and said come back if you are not better. I didn’t get better I called my doctor she took care of me. Then I got a bill for 2100 dollars for er visit. Other wise for nothing. Tried to dispute did not work. No one listens there.

I was in the emergency room and Paige was awful with me to begin with I asked for a new nurse she said I didn’t need one. Then the next day I had Nicole and she was even worse. If it was her sister and a nurse treated her the way I was treated I think she’d be appalled. When I got up to the unit a nurse she went to school said “I went to school with her I’m not surprised by her behavior and I’m so sorry.” Lastly the nursing supervisor Brent said I was having a fake seizure when I passed out after having a bowel movement… no no… I have fissures. And POTS that makes me pass out he kept saying aggressively GET UP. My nurse the next morning said they think you’re faking it. I was so upset. This is why healthcare gets a bad reputation because of people that don’t care. Olivia RN was fantastic and nursing supervisor Kat was great too but I have zero desire to go back there
