I didn’t want to write this review, but I can’t stay quiet any longer. This experience went from bad to worse. What started as a simple filling ended in a nightmare.

For context, I’ve been going here for two years, and the first year was fine. But my recent experience has left me completely shaken.

Here’s the background: I went in for a cleaning on Oct 21. It was routine, but the usual tech I like wasn’t there. An older woman cleaned my teeth, and while it was a bit rough, she got the job done. Afterward, the dentist examined my teeth—not physically, but through a camera scan that generated an image. I’m not sure why, but I assume it’s because he can’t use half of his body due to an illness or injury. He told me that my teeth were uneven and that I needed Invisalign. He also said I needed two fillings redone (which I had done last year). All fine, but I had to ask several questions to get answers since the dentist didn’t offer explanations. I’m used to my previous dentist, who was more detailed and personable. I also asked for more info on Invisalign, and he said the front desk would contact me. When I went to the front desk, they told me someone would email or call me.

Now, the real issue:
On Oct 29, I walked in and immediately felt something was off—no smiling receptionist, and she seemed frazzled. Maybe I was just anxious, knowing I was getting fillings, but I noticed everything. I waited 15 minutes before being called, and the same tech and dentist were there. I expected the dentist to ask about the fillings, like last time when another tech explained the differences between ceramic and plastic fillings, but no such discussion. I was just put in the chair.

The tech applied numbing stuff on a cotton swab and left it in my mouth for an unusually long time, causing me a lot of discomfort. She walked away, leaving me with this strong numbing agent in my mouth. I had to take it out myself, which was very unsettling. Then, the dentist started the anesthesia injection with little warning, and it was the most painful experience I’ve ever had. It wasn’t a gentle jab—it was rough. I told them it hurt, but they didn’t acknowledge it. They just let me wait five minutes for it to kick in. When they came back, the discomfort continued. The procedure felt rough, and I could barely keep my composure. At one point, I couldn’t help but cry from the pain and anxiety, which the tech noticed and wiped away. The dentist said the anesthesia might make me anxious, but I was already anxious walking in.

The entire experience felt rushed and poorly done. The dentist was rough with my face, and I’m still not sure if that’s due to his possible physical limitations or if he just didn’t care. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. When I went to the front desk to pay and ask about the Invisalign info, they again told me someone would email me.

I won’t be returning, and I highly don’t recommend this place for the following reasons:

1. The fillings were poorly done.
2. Customer service was lacking.
3. I still haven’t received any info about Invisalign.
4. I felt like just another number in their system.

I understand the dentist might have an affliction that affects his mobility, but at the same time, I expect a safe and comfortable experience. This place failed to deliver.

I went here I brush my teeth every day and they said I had eight cavities and then I went to a new one and they said I had no cavities. I do not recommend this place.

Very wonderful Dentistry to go to! Dr. Guerra is absolutely amazing and was so kind and empathetic during my procedure. He examined me and in no time removed my wisdom teeth. It probably took him 5 minutes! The whole process went very smoothly and I couldnt have asked for a better dentist 🙂 Thank you Interdental Care!
