I’m not sure how this dental office has received any good reviews. I suspect that those positive reviews are from people who don’t know any better or may even be fake. I rarely write reviews because it often feels like a waste of time, but I believe visiting this dental office is even more of a waste.

My partner and I came in after getting new insurance, hoping for a routine check-up and cleaning. After our x-rays, the doctor informed me that everything looked fine and that I would likely just need a standard cleaning. However, when she examined my gums, she claimed they were nearing periodontal disease, which I have never been told by any dentist before. She then recommended a deep cleaning to address this issue, and the financial coordinator quoted me $1,200, even with insurance. It was either that or no cleaning at all.

My partner had his gums checked as well, and although they were fine, he was still told they needed a deep cleaning. Please pay attention to the negative reviews and avoid this place. They seem more like sleazy salespeople who don’t sincerely care about your health; instead, they want to take advantage of those who may not know any better. I seriously doubt the quote they provided for the deep cleaning was accurate or truthful, let alone necessary.

My biggest mistake in 2025 was deciding to take my mother to get her teeth treated here. It started with being advised to extract her upper teeth. After making an appointment, the clinic sent me to another branch because the equipment was not ready. On the appointment day, the doctor at the branch still did not know which tooth to extract. There was an argument in the operating room about number 15 or 16, and there was no X-ray before the surgery. After that, the clinic made an appointment for a root canal treatment and a crown. On the day of the root canal treatment, my mother was in great pain. The doctor was heavy-handed and rude. A young man had an appointment for a crown. My mother could not make it to the appointment because of the doctor's violent actions, so the appointment had to be postponed for another week. Today, I took my mother to the appointment at 1:30 p.m. I arrived on time, but it was not finished until 4 p.m. because some kind of dental photocopier was broken. It took an hour to get it done. When it came to the crown step, the doctor was violent and accidentally cut my mother's tongue with the dental drill. She bled a lot, but there was no apology. The doctor blamed my mother for not putting her tongue in another direction. The treatment process was temporarily stopped. We waited until the bleeding stopped for about 30 minutes before continuing the treatment. This time, the dental floss fell into her throat again. My mother suffered through it all. All in all my mother paid about $2000 after co-pays for all of this treatment. What she got was terrible service and misery afterwards. If you don't believe me, that's fine, but don't take my word for it. I can't find a minus button on this site, so I have to give it 1 star out of necessity.

Another great appointment with HB Modern Dentistry! I highly recommend Dr. Smith and her team who are very thorough but have a gentle touch. I am a dental wimp but have finally found an office where I feel comfortable enough to get my regular cleanings and my smile has never looked better!

I had a check up and cleaning with Rachel. I had so many cleanings over the years but never had such a pleasant experience like today. She was very thorough and gentle. For the first time, it felt like my dental cleaning is a spa treatment and getting my gums massaged is what it felt like and my teeth felt so smooth, they never felt this smooth! I highly recommend this office, the staff were very professional and caring, and Rachel is the best hygienist I have ever had.

Dr. Tadeh is wonderful!! I saw him for my first dentist visit in over 7 years last February. I had been avoiding the dentist as I was worried I’d be told I had dozens of cavities— or even worse— lied to about having dozens of cavities. Finally took the plunge and when I informed the assistant and Dr. Tadeh both about the length of time it had been, all that was recommended was a deep cleaning for some of the built up tartar. I will HAPPILY keep coming to this office for my regular visits.
