For anyone who takes the time to read the reviews before going to a hospital, I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
They hire nurses that don’t know how to handle needles, for the nurse put the needle inside my arm and failed to find the veins. I’m repeating in case you thought you read this wrong, SHE HAD TO look for my veins and claimed my veins were too thin to get the blood out. She had to try on both my arms and now I have terrible bruisings on them.

I had to wait on the emergency room for 3 HOURS.
When I asked the staff on the front desk when was my turn, they just said they catalogued my emergency as less urgent then the rest. The other patients all had a simple cold as what I could see.

The doctor didn’t inquire about what had happened to me, he just said he didn’t see anything off and that I should make an appointment through the app and get further examinations.

I waited 4 + hours to be sent home with no diagnosis and that “I should make an appointment through the app with a specialist “

Terrible experience, terrible staff, terrible doctors, terrible nurses, terrible receptionist. Don’t go to this place.

I went to hospital today with my husband with heavy flu symptoms. We are both working I’m Spain and we have private insurance from Cigna . However ı waited 2 hours in the EMERGENCY waiting room to be able to see a doctor ! I never visit a hospital in Spain since we moved and I was really afraid to need one but I don’t know why we waited 2 long hours and not attended When you look outside it seems very clean and professional hospital but I am still wondering the wait and in the end I could not stand more and left it. I asked the nurse ( or staff) how long it will take after 1 hour waiting and she said there is 2 in line before us . However there were maybe 50 people circulated before us and I am just wondering 2 means 2 foreigners ? Because all locals seems to attended . I felt neglected and uncared . After 2 hours wait I asked again and she said there is only 1 before us . I asked if this is normal and she said there are people who wait 4 hours. is this real for emergency ‼️ please do tell me and we won’t go anymore . I heard the Spanish health system is not good due to lack of nurses and doctors but I did not expect this. I am still questioning the reason, I have money to pay and two type of insurance and I don’t know why we could not see a doctor .

If you come to Turkey , you can try any single ‘public and private hospital ‘ you would never wait such long and you would see a doctor immediately . I hope you can have an experience and learn about it . I don’t know what is the meaning of emergency for this hospital .

For a foreigner (speaking Spanish a bit), everyone was very helpful and kind. Finding an appointment is a bit difficult, but i can tell that all hospital staff is very nice towards you in the process.

Thank you to the nurse who, while I was half naked on the exam table, first accused me of coming to Dexeus for medical tourism and second tried to make me feel out of place for not understanding Catalan. Put aside the fact that I was there for a very vulnerable reason and that I was totally alone isn’t the purpose of a healthcare system to make patients feel comfortable? I have to say after several visits to Dexeus, my only medical experience outside of my country of residence, I’m shocked. There have been some positive experiences, but you have to traverse through just as many if not more negative experiences. I never realized I’d need so much resilience just to seek out medical care especially when half naked on the exam table. My mind has now come up with multiple ways to stop a procedure next time this happens so that I can feign a reason to not continue until the person who is making me feel so uncomfortable leaves without upsetting anyone else and worrying that they will seek out vengeance against me. I have never gone through that before at a doctor’s office so you have now unlocked a new fear in my conscience

nothing human about them, only see people as walking cash machines. thought it was the best choice for our birth, turned to be one of the worst. zero consideration for the time, comfort and stress of baby and parents

I booked an appointment via their online platform with the Diagnostica d’imatge department, because I needed to take a MRI exam for my leg. In the online platform I uploaded my traumatology doctor’s referral where it says I should have two MRI exams taken, one in a rested state and another one after running for 20 minutes to see the difference in my muscle. I even sent the referral via email to the Diagnostica d’imatge department in order to make sure they knew about the fact that I need to make two exams and not only one. They didn’t answer to that email even though I asked for confirmation of receipt. I had no luck reaching the right department via telephone because I don’t speak Spanish or Catalan so well so I gave up on trying to get a confirmation that way. Anway, when I arrived on the day of my appointment, the secretary in the Diagnostica d'imatge department told me that I should have booked two appointments instead of one and it was a problem, but she will try her best to find a solution. I was afraid because I came to Barcelona only for this appointment (I live 3 hours away from the city). After waiting for around 20 minutes the secretary (her name was Andrea, I think) called me and confirmed that I can take the two exams one after the other right away! Eventually everything turned out well and the staff was super friendly, even when I only spoke English. Big thank you again Andrea you saved my day!! 🙂

I had a baby back in January, my whole experience was okay, and its because of the staff. Not really professional, always giving some type of attitude. when it came the time for my wife to eat , they complained why she didn't finish eating. For some obvious reasons, she had to stop eating and feed our baby. The room was not okay, dusty bed sheets, shower broken , the sofa-bed was dirty. Also they were very forgetful that I had to ask them three time for one simple thing. I know this is not a 5 stars hotel but come on.. at least make sure they clean the room and hire people who will do their job correctly. To be honest, I was surprised this hospital was like that, my sister who happen to be a nurse, recommended me this hospital. Definitely this place needs to work on many things. and you can tell by he review it has.

I’ve just had an appointment I made one day before online for the digestive department. I’ve arrived 20 minutes earlier and checked in at the reception. My appointment was at 12:20 PM, it’s 1 PM now and they still haven’t called me. I’ve decided to leave and go find myself another hospital.

In general, the staff is nice but you always have to wait hours even if you have an appointment. My doctor only has appointments in one month in advance so it also takes a long time to get to see your doctor.

Overall, I don’t recommend this place.
