My wife needed to come in on an unclear emergency, being referred by a local medical center in Moxiente. We dreaded the idea of having to pass the whole day in an overheated waiting room with clearly more urgent cases passing in front. Outside temperature was 42 C, so no telling what would await us inside. Once inside the waiting room was about half full, so we decided to split up, and I was going to track some food at the nearby Plaza Mayor Shopping mall. The time it took me to get there and find my bearings (20’ or so), she’d already gone through triage, had x-rays taken and had a diagnosis. Two broken ribs & taking it easy for the next 4-6 weeks. So I cancelled the order, drove back to the hospital (there is an 8’ shortcut), picked up my spouse, we drove back and had a nice burger at Plaza Mayor. Ready to continue our holiday, at a recovery space. Cost: 0€. The emergency system in the Communidad Valenciana is amazing, the Xativa hospital is outstanding, and having a shopping mall nearby makes it possible for family members to wait or arrange essentials… just saying

I've had a number of reasons to be a patient in this hospital. I can honestly say the NHS can learn a lot from this hospital. Super clean. Good diagnosis. Treatment that couldn't be faulted. Organised extremely well. Staff couldn't do enough for patients. Triage was quick and spot on accurate. Treatment was quickly applied. From a Stent to a blood test. Super fast. You're safe in this hospital. But food is typical hospital product/standards.

Weds, 23rd March 2022. I've had to attend here again after doctors advice. Sent with a letter on Monday. Got Triaged in less than 5 minutes. Saw the professionals about 20 minutes later. Had an xray within 30 minutes. Bloods taken 10 minutes later. Test results took another 2 hours due to complexity. I was admitted to a bed 15 minutes later. I've been in two days and had numerous drips into me. I had a scan yesterday (Tuesday ) and the results where back with the doctor this morning (Wednesday) . The treatment was confirmed and I'm due to be discharged on Friday with a course of treatment. The nurses have been professional and the ward is spotless. Excellent service again. Just received my written diagnosis at 13:15 (23/03/2022). Fully typed and 4 pages long with explanations and advise. Wow.
I think that compares well with the NHS in UK.
Food is still typically hospital flavour.
Still I was treated by professionals throughout. Couldn't fault this hospital.
If you're ill or injured have no fear.
If you have a broken nail or splinter be prepared to wait. Then you're going to wait ages until the sick people have been attended to. Don't waste medical time with self inflicted or minor injuries or toothhaches. It's a hospital doing a tough job at a tough time.

Thursday 24/03/2022. I've just read some other feedback and I have been forced to agree. A lot of the staff seem more preoccupied with their mobile phones. These seem to take precedent over everything else.
The night staff seem to disappear after 01am. I couldn't find anyone last night.
Check your meds! I was given a proscribed drug only hours after my report was produced proscribing the drug.
I am also prohibited from green leaf foods. So what do I get for lunch? Spinach tortilla, with a side order of chopped lettuce. I ate a bun with bottled water accompanyment. No restricted diet on offer. Everyone gets the same luke warm offerings. The hospital cafeteria offers nothing of consequence. Similar to patient food. But you have to pay for it. Be prepared to source your own foods if you want to eat.

Just had another lucky escape 20:02hrs. Diagnosed not to eat anything with a green leaf. I get a mixture of celery, green beans, peas, other indistinguishable green veg. Offered for my predilection at a temp of luke warm. I'm going to Burger King asap. Something passing as a soup, with no taste and indistinguishable from waste water. Colour was cream with a green tinge. Not risking it. Nurse couldn't identify the soup either. Left with a GREEN apple and a small bun. Beware you have been warned!

Just been given my evening meds and it was wrong again. Simple to put right but another costly mistake.

I have to reduce the stars to a 3 from a 5. Any less would have been disrespectful to the professionals, I'm sure there are some. Any more than 3 is too much.

What a shame that a closer inspection removes my rose coloured spectacles. The effect from 3 years ago is visible when you look closer.

February 02/2024 at 19:09. I had to attend this hospital again today. I have to raise the star rating to five. 6 if it was available. The staff where super efficient and I was admitted for tests. Everything but kitchen sink was involved. The results where back, checked and I was kept informed. At 00:57 on 03/02/2024 I was allowed home. With advise as to what to do. I cannot praise all the staff concerned with my treatment. Everyone was courteous, efficient and helpful. The NHS has a lot to learn. This hospital staff where beyond reproach and I'm still here to make these comments. Thanks again.

My young son had to spend a few nights here in the pediatric section. The doctors and nurses took excellent care of him as he recovered.

Not good doctor there. They don't wanted to help me because I am not vaccinated . Came there wit back pain and stomach problems, he told me you have covid. Idiot's.
