Overall the circumstances, we had a great experience. The nurses are kind and helpful. The food is balanced and tasty. There is a corridor with views to the sea.

There needs to be six stars for this hospital. They saved my life with a complicated heart operation. During my time In the hospital I and my fellow patients were treated by wonderful, warm and caring staff. The quality of medical care one receives as a patient is excellent.

My husband came here after suffering a heart attack whilst on a cruise at Christmas. The staff saved his life with an operation to insert stents into the main artery to the heart. Care was exceptional both for him and myself. If they couldn't understand English then they found a nurse or doctor who could. The ICU was limited on visiting but my husband was well looked after. Well done and our thanks to all the staff.

If I could give them 0 point I would!!! I am totally disappointed with my experience at this hospital. The staff was unfriendly, and I didn't receive the help I needed. The lack of communication in any language other than Spanish made me very uncomfortable. It was my worst hospital experience ever, with absolute chaos. I was sent from the health center to the next hospital in Las Palmas until I finally ended up at Insular Hospital. The staff did not listen to me and immediately redirected me elsewhere. I do not recommend it.

The staff are my hero's at this hospital. They saved my life in April 2023 and treated me very good. I stayed at this hospital in the ICU unit on the 6th floor for 8 days then I was medically flowing back to the UK where I stayed in hospital for about 6 months. The staff was really brilliant and the food was nice. I will be returning back to this hospital to say a massive thanks to all the Emergency department and to the staff on the 6th floor sometime soon when I'm feeling more stronger again. But right now I want to say a massive thanks to all the hard working staff here

I ended up here in the urgencias unit while on holiday. Whilst some of the nurses were less than kind, one of the nurses at reception was very considerate allowed my mum to wait for me in the reception. The doctors here are amazing too; so reassuring and optimistic, even when they're clearly very busy. It took them only 2 days to identify an issue my doctors in the UK hadn't noticed for almost 7 years!

Communication to family or friends waiting outside could be better, but overall they took good care of me.

This is a dreadful place. Gave my husband a nappy to wear as they had no one to take him to toilet. Arrived for a visit after a 2 hour bus journey to be told come back tomorrow. No information. Contradicting themselves. Husband went in with one issue and now it seems he may have couple more. Didn’t know where my husband was. Apparently the actual care and treatment is good. But lack of empathy and communication is adding stress. Dr to phone never did. Can’t sleep because I don’t know what is happening..Care is brutal here. No understanding of human life. Communication major issue as well. Holiday so far has been a total nightmare- mainly due to the behaviour of this place . Inhumane attitude Expertise- husband did say the doctors were good at doing a difficult test, so far I have not been impressed - hopefully this changes- time will tell.

I was shocked from superficiality disorganisation poor protocol inefficiency bad safeguarding all together in one hospital .
I have been kept forcefully t without explanation over 10 hours without seeing the specialist !
I have been seen by specialist 23:00 in the evening despite was not safe to leave night time because my Hotel was in the south They have discharged me almost 1 am .
The hospital does not provide any official translating for tourist so many misunderstanding and lack of of communication.
I felt traumatised because for a minore problem I have been locked in psychiatry department despite I don’t suffer from any serious mental health expect with common minor depression.

This Hospital don’t use European standard protocol assessment in order to decide what level of assistance to give to the patient.
I suffer from minor depression I needed some medication instead I have been locked without my consent in level 3 assistance !
Terrible memory traumatic memorie !
