I recently read the reviews this this place. I’ve been going since a teenager and I’ve had cleaning before it was perfectly fine. No issues really. But I went to get my root canal done and they completely ruined my front tooth. I now have a gap inbetween my two front teeth because they drilled a hole for the root canal and never filled it in. It’s been getting worse since it’s been a year and when I went to the dentist in Utah I was told they didn’t do any root canal, they just drilled a hole into my tooth. As well as the way they talked to me while I was getting the root canal done was actually rude. I have bad anxiety and I was doing my best to stay calm I wasn’t in their way. But as I had small tears rolling down my face one of the ladies asked me why I was crying and that I’m completely fine. The root canal hurt. It shouldn’t hurt. I honestly hope no one gets their root canal done here anymore. I should’ve listened to the reviews when they told me their experiences.

Dr. Pai has been our family dentist for the past 16 years. We are very happy with his quality of work and services from his staff. They really take good care of my husband and our two kids. We all can honestly sense that Dr. Pai genuinely care for his patients. He is a very skilled dentist. Highly recommended.

I am new to San Diego and was recommended to Dr Pai’s office by a friend. I was so pleased with my entire experience here. From my first encounter with them during my phone call to the office was so great, they were diligent in helping me and able to get me in for an appointment soon. Dr. Pai is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. He's also a great listener and really took the time to understand my concerns and answer all of my questions. He was so kind and did excellent work. I felt well cared for here.I would definitely recommend this office.

I chipped a tooth and had to find a new dentist at the beginning of COVID. I'm so glad I went to Horizon Dental Care. Dr. Pai and Rachel are the best! Dr. Pai was able to repair my chipped tooth rather than pull it out as my previous dentist had insisted. It was such a drastic approach and I'm glad I got a second opinion from Dr. Pai. He and Rachel take such good care of their patients and do very thorough cleanings without making my mouth hurt. Cavity fillings are a breeze. Both are so kind and friendly and make you feel at ease in the chair. Their new office also looks amazing. I look forward to my 6 month visits!

I usually don't write low-rate reviews, but in this time I have to write the first Google Map review to commemorate my permanent loss of teeth.

The Dr. Pai is nice.
However, I am disappointed and feeling bad experience, he broken my teeth and just simple referred me to another dentist, sounds want not take care of my tooth anymore, even my tooth still not work.
Moreover, I am not sure insurance cover or uncover filling same tooth in three months, I will update after receiving new dentist's bill.

More details here, it is better than simple word 'broken'.
(1) I just want to annual tooth cleaning, we choice Dr. Pai office. The Dr. Pai office told us all of California new patient tooth cleaning required prior X-Rays.

(2） After X-Rays and cleaning, Dr. Pai told me that I have three teeth have risk to cavity in future, he suggests filling all of them.

(3) before filling teeth, all are good, after filling teeth, my teeth very sensitive and pain.

(4) follow up visit couple days later, Dr. Pai told me that I NEED to kill nerve and root canal treatment on these filling teeth.

(5) I attempt conservative treatment instead of root canal causing tooth dead forever, Dr. Pai suggest applying an OTC toothpaste on teeth.

(6) The toothpaste no effect and call to Dr. Pai office again, just voice mailbox, they call back couple days later, and suggest referral to another dentist and not take care my teeth anymore.

(-) The office phone is very difficult to call, call tens time but no people response, just voice mailbox, the office call back average period 15 days or longer.

The doctor professional skills is not good enough.
For my story, he found a tooth decay, suggest filling, I acceptance filling, after that, my teeth pain so much in follow months, every follow up visit need payment, such as X-rays, refilling. So, payment more than 4x cost than filling with other doctors in final.

Wonderful dentist! I recently moved to San Diego and needed to find a new dentist. I was a little nervous, but Dr Pai turned out to be fantastic. He takes the time to explain everything. The result of my treatments have been fantastic. His staffs are also very great and thorough. I would recommend Dr Pai to all my friends and family.
