We went into the ER on Saturday evening. My 75 yr old mom was super sick throwing up and unable to keep anything down for the past few days. We were concerned as it was progressively worse. We arrived and they took her straight back! WIN!! The triage nurse was great! She was super kind! We get into the room and the doctor came in quick! WIN!! He orders some tests and blood and of course an IV- the next nurse comes in and does an EKG- she was super kind… WIN! THEN, our assigned nurse walks in Denise…. This is when our experience goes down hill REAL FAST…. My mom (sick as can be) asks her to use the Doppler Ultrasound because she is so dehydrated and she knows it’s going to be hard to find a line for an IV. The nurse Denise lies to us and says we don’t have that… to then, between her and another nurse poke my mom 4xs to THEN say, we will get the ultrasound team. She was so obnoxious lecturing us on getting a GI doctor and telling us basics of digestive care. I kindly told her we have been on a journey for a few years and we have done her suggestions years ago… to then, she argues with me. WHAT?! Then, when my mom requests a different nurse for the IV she said well you can decline the IV… in which I had to speak up and say asking for a different nurse is NOT declining the IV. All to say after 7 sticks they finally got a line in. IF DENISE would have listened to her patient… from the beginning my mom would have only been poked 3 times. I felt so bad I didn’t demand the requests my mom asked for… Denise didn’t know that my mom was a retired ICU nurse and I also am in the medical field. Denise needs to be fired. She was rude, mean, and even her colleagues apologized for her attitude. If going to the ER make sure you don’t get the nurse named Denise.

Let me begin by just saying WOW - I have never had such an amazing experience at a hospital! This facility is awesome. We arrived at the emergency room on a Saturday. We were promptly checked in and asked to wait in the waiting room. We waited, maybe about 5 minutes before we were taken back to a room. We were immediately greeted with the 4 staff members, including the doctor and nurses. They were all very kind, polite and responsive. After being discharged, we ran into some problems with the pharmacy and had to call the hospital. They went above and beyond to assist in making sure we received the prescriptions needed. We ultimately had to return to the ER and was ultimately admitted. The room is spacious and the staff has been very attentive. Just walking through the hallway everyone greets you kindly. This experience so far has been amazing and we cannot say enough good things about this hospital! Just WOW, AWESOME, and AMAZING!!!!!! Better than their Daytona location and better than their Port Orange location - better experience than we have had at any hospital in a VERY VERY long time.

I was in there 2 days, good food and nurses. Courtney was more than a nurse she was kind, listened to you all while she was teaching a new young lady. She came in the 2nd day and gave me a warm bath, clean gown, and clean sheets and blankets. I went home later that day but I can tell you all nurses should be as caring as she was.

I was thinking of changing my primary doctor which would also mean becoming a patient of Halifax
NOPE! Not happening! 1st of all it took over 12 hours just to get a room assigned and let me add Over 24 hours with no meals.. I had to make them aware of that as well, I understand it’s a job but please pretend to enjoy what you do and show some sense of urgency and on this level empathy wouldn’t hurt. care for your patients, We were given permission to be discharged at about 10AM And needless to say.. it’s after 4PM and nothing yet …
Not a fan of our treatment!
It’s horrible to feel uncomfortable asking your nurse for water… oh p.s she forgot that too
No towels to bath with in the room 🥺 I was told people steal them 🤦🏻‍♀️ my god what has happened to Society 😢🙏🏼

absolutely the worst ER I’ve ever been too. The doctor said the reason why I was throwing up was because my medical marijuana. Didn’t even check me to see if I had the flu or stomach virus that’s going around even when my son was throwing up the day prior. Now today I am trying to get my x-rays transferred to my lung doctor and I’ve been on hold for over an hour. I wouldn’t recommend the hospital to anyone.

I came here last night for SEVERE abdominal pain. I was seen immediately and reassured very quickly that my baby was ok as I am in my 1st trimester of pregnancy. Everyone in the ER treated me with respect and kindness. I couldn’t have asked for a better team last night. Dr Rocke and Nurse Hailey especially!!

Let me start by saying I am getting treated and getting what I asked for. I always go to Halifax because Advent tries to kill people. However, this trip is terrible because of the staff. I don’t feel heard, I am absolutely not validated and feel like I’ve been gaslit. I was not expecting this from this hospital at all.

This hospital is a hit and miss. Unfortunately most times it is a huge miss. Halifax has horrible service with out being thorough with the check up, you are longer in the lobby waiting then getting checked. Their answer once you get back to a room is "here is some medication and leave". Every single time we have ended up in another hospital that same day with results that this hospital should have seen and treated just as fast. Suggetion to people go to Lake Mary hospitals.
