I must say that I was very disappointed with my doctor's appointment today. When I made the appointment I explained what my current situation was and I had my medical records sent for the doctor to review. I just wanted a teeth cleaning. In all fairness to the doctor when I arrive she told me that she couldn't perform the cleaning because she needed her own set of x-rays.. I have a special case and I understand her reasons for that.. but I provided her with X-rays and even told her that I have also 3D images that cost me over $300.. she was kind and told me that she needs her own set of x-rays and that's how she runs her practice and with all the due respect that's fine The problem was that should have been told to me before my appointment..
The appointment was for a teeth cleaning and if that's something she couldn't have done because of some things that she needed I wish they would have told me that before the appointment.. This is just feedback because they are kind and I'm sure they do a really good job, but if I just would have known it would have saved me the trip and their time as well..
I also work in a doctor's office, they review patient information before their visit and if there any questions or anything that we need to inform the patient, we call before. If I knew that I needed to submit a new set of x-rays because of the concerns that I mentioned I would have never booked the appointment and that's why I was disappointed.. and I do respect her policies but if you have current X-rays the least you can do is give a discount or something because you're not coming into the situation blind there's a chart and medical files that are being submitted to you so that you can service and inform the patient accurately..
I did like her.. she does have a very gentle vibe, but that's not the point I wish her the best of luck in her practice and I hope my feedback can give her some insight on how the other side feels, with all due respect.

Dr Santos is such a great dentist. Both in her skills and bedside manner . She truly cares for her patient’s as well as their health .

BEST DENTAL PRACTICE EVER!! We all know how many crooked dentists are out there right? I know because I have been to every one of them! Seriously!!

Then, after coming close to a dental nervous breakdown, the Universe brought me finally to the website of Fillmore Dental Spa, just blocks from where I live! I love working with Vicky, who runs the office. She is very knowledgeable with insurance and Care Credit and just very organized! She is so nice and fun to talk to that you want to run to the dentist!!

I have been given horrible advice previously that would have cost me the loss of teeth so that the dentist could make money off Invisalign like the doctors who are in bed with the pharmaceutical companies! I was recently seeing a corrupt dental group who I found out was in the midst of two lawsuits against the head dentist who currently can’t even see her patients! I could literally write a book!

Now, I seriously can’t say enough great things about Dr. Cecilia Santos-Berkowitz! She is a true gem and probably the only honest dentist left in San Francisco!! From my first visit, where she took the necessary full mouth x-rays to the deep cleaning which I needed, she was always courteous and explained everything in grave detail. She goes over the images with you, so you actually understand what you need that is tailored to you as an individual!

I have complex Periodontal issues but instead of wanting to rip my teeth out or send me in to the “end of my life in debt” with Invisalign, she told me about “PerioProtect” trays for my mouth twice a day! Check out the YouTube videos! Not one of my past dentists ever told me about this! They did not tell me about it because then they can’t rip you off if you can actually curb your problem without extensive and mostly unnecessary dental work!

This may not be for everyone but it sure is working for me! She created the 3D molds for the company to make my trays and then she sent me home with them on my last visit along with the tray gel and an antibiotic to add to the trays in certain areas so it goes deep below the gum line to do it's magic. I love how fresh they make your breath and the added benefit of this gel having hydrogen peroxide in it is the whitening it gives my teeth, even the bonding! Bonding is not supposed to whiten but mine is!! People have commented on the gleam of my new smile!

So, ladies and gents out there looking to get away from the scammer dentists come to see Dr. Cecilia Santos-Berkowitz for the best experience of your dental life!!

Since Dr. Cecille has been my dentist over a year ago, my gum bleeding has stopped because of her recommended treatment. A solution that my previous dentists have failed to do. She has a light touch and makes you feel relaxed. My phobia of dentists has slowly disappeared. I don't have an insurance but I find her fees reasonable and affordable. She gives you options, not directions. I'm happy I found her. Vicky, on the front desk, makes the admin process seamless and transparent. They are a very good team.

While visiting San Francisco from out of town on a recent business trip, I ran into an issue which required immediate treatment. I found this office on Google and walked in randomly at 3:30pm on a Friday afternoon and asked if they could see me. No hesitation whatsoever. Dr. Santos diagnosed my issue and had me sitting with an Endodontics practice within one hour. Amazing! If I lived here, Dr. Santos would be my dentist. This practice cares about their patients and I can’t say enough but give my highest recommendation!
