If you are looking for a dental office because you are new to the area or because you may need to change dentists, you can stop searching!

My dad used Family Dental of Teravista for several years before we recently had to move him closer to us. He had a dental procedure performed just before we moved him and shortly after we moved him, he had a bridge break. This practice was very understanding and responsive! They worked with my dad's new dentist to help my dad get his bridge replaced and our family could not be more grateful. They truly stand behind their work!

My dad loved Dr. Hoffman and his whole office staff and said he was always treated with kindness, respect and honesty! Thank you to the amazing staff at Family Dental of Teravista for going above and beyond for your patients! You are a blessing!

If you have concerns, Dr. Hoffman will not take them seriously. If Dr. Hoffman harms you like he did me you can expect Dr. Hoffman to delay talking with you and when he does it will be brief. Dr. Hoffman will not hold himself accountable for any harm he has caused.

Below is a letter I wrote to Dr. Hoffman several months ago. I never received a response from Dr. Hoffman.

Dear Dr. Hoffman,

I am working with another dentist.

Below is an update since our last conversation in December 2023.

I'm still experiencing numbness and tingling throughout my entire body. Some days are more intense than others.

My lips and chin are still numb and at the same time I have pain.

I can barely feel my husband's kiss, and at the same time I experience soreness.

It's difficult to chew because all of my teeth seem to be sensitive and sore.

I've been proactive with detox, meditation, sound healing and prayers.

It's been very scary for myself, my family and my friends since the initial onset after being given the local anesthetic.

My intention for the following is for both of us to learn from this experience.

During our phone conversation in December 2023, the point that you were making was that it was A-typical reaction I was experiencing. I agreed. I noticed that you were not taking responsibility for your part in my injury. I also heard that you wanted me to see an allergist. I thought it would have been appropriate for you to make that recommendation prior to treatment. You did suggest and we talked about laser treatment. I mentioned clove oil, and I believe you said that that could work.

Do you know what has happened and why my lips and chin are numb and my entire mouth is very sensitive and sore? You mentioned that injections of local anesthesia are to only numb the tissue and hopefully not enter the bloodstream. Are my symptoms an indication that the local anesthetic might have gotten into the bloodstream?

I was hoping for a more proactive and shared responsibility with you of the outcome going forward. A collaboration for healing and a plan on how to move forward to safely get the dental treatment that I needed. I have not heard from you regarding checking in on how I’m doing. I have not received any help from you in terms of researched information around how to heal.

Dr. Hoffman, I know that you had no intention of harm and your carelessness did permanently harm me.

Dr. Hoffman, did you happen to notice on my patient intake form that I stated that I was very sensitive to medication / drugs and that I couldn't take anesthesia? I also stated my experience with fentanyl and how it created peripheral nerve damage during our in person conversations and on my initial call to your office. On the day of my cleaning, again I said to you that I was very concerned and very sensitive to medication, and was worried about the local aesthetic being used. We talked briefly about types of local aesthetics and what types that have been used through the years. I heard from you that it should be fine. On the day of treatment, again I brought up my concerns about using local anesthetic. Again, I heard from you, It should be fine.

I believe with all the red flags I was waiving, that having a meeting about the medication, concerns and collaborating on how to move forward safely would've been appropriate before treatment, don't you?

When I showed concern about the cons of the crown you said “of course”. I have never been through anything like this, and I had no idea. I felt unsupported by you.

I truly hope you will handle difficult situations with your patients much better than what I experienced.

hands down, best dentist experience i have ever had. from scheduling to the treatment — they exceeded my expectations. i went in because i had a broken tooth with quite a bit of pain. i called to schedule and i was seen AND treated the very next day! the cost was reasonable and dr hoffman and staff were top notch. they made me feel welcome, comfortable and i left with a prettier smile than when i walked in. i can’t believe i am excited to go back for my cleaning. 10/10 would recommend.

Absolutely love these guys! The staff are so friendly and everyone makes you feel comfortable. Dr. Hoffman is the best, I always feel like I’m in good hands. I’ve been going here for a few years and hope I never have to go anywhere else!

If I could give these folks 10 stars I would!! Dr. Hoffman and his staff are extremely professional, kind, genuine and fun. Erica at the front desk is very welcoming with her warm smile and jovial personality. I feel like I'm part of the family every time I'm there.

Dr Hoffman is a top notch dentist and person. He always has made me feel comfortable and at ease, which is fantastic for me as I used to not be a huge fan of getting dental work done.

I highly recommend this dental office.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but this place is spectacular. The whole staff is extremely friendly and professional, it really feels like family! Dr Brandon Hoffman is very honest and he truly cares about your health. He will take his time with you and won’t try to sell you things you don’t need, like in other places I’ve been. I would still come here even if I moved to Dallas or Houston. That’s how good they are! And special thanks to Jen, who always leaves my teeth impeccable, and became a friend that I always look forward to seeing! 😍

I recently moved to the area, and as some may know, the hardest part of moving is finding a new Dentist.
From scheduling my appointment, to the warm welcome upon entering the office to check out, this office definitely deserves a golden star. They all seemed to love their job and the care they provide.
They do an extensive exam, which is top notch, ensuring they do not miss any underlying concerns.
Jen, the hygienist measured my gums, and have to say, her bed side manners were excellent. Excited to get in with her soon for my cleaning. Then to meet Dr. Hoffman, just as personable, carrying and compassionate about dental health. Not to mention east on the eyes.
