Amy Smith, the hygienist, was truly amazing and made me feel at ease. I have had negative dental experiences in the past at different offices that left me feeling scared of going back to the dentist, but Amy’s caring and professional demeanor put me at ease. She is not only skilled at her job but she also possess a rare gift for making patients feel comfortable and truly cared for.

Thanks to the excellent care I received at this office, I can now sleep better knowing that I have found a reliable and trustworthy dentist. When it comes to gum grafts, let’s be real: the surgery itself isn’t exactly a trip to the spa. However, I can confidently say that my experience with East Valley Periodontics was as pleasant as a gum graft could possibly be—thanks to Dr. Aaron Nelson, who managed to make the whole ordeal bearable with a perfect balance of professionalism and humor.

The procedure itself was, well, not something I’d want to do every day (or ever again), but Dr. Nelson was as gentle as they come, checking in with me and explaining every step. A dose of humor here and there definitely helped ease my nerves, and by the time it was all over, I almost forgot I had just undergone surgery. Almost.

Now, for the results: Incredible. I didn’t just leave with healthier gums it what was always my problem area; I left with the kind of gums that’ll probably make my dentist jealous. So, while I wouldn’t call a gum graft a "good time," I can say I had an unexpectedly positive experience. If you need this kind of work done, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dr. Nelson and all of his assistants—they’ve got the skills and the gentle touch to make it all go smoothly.

I went in for an exam about a month ago and had my first root planing appt today with Amy. Just like the rest of the staff and doctor, she was so kind, understanding, professional, and a pleasure to talk to. She totally put me at ease and was very thorough regarding my treatment and aftercare. I am actually excited to go back next week to complete the other side. She was super positive, yet honest. I have been traveling for the past 3 years and have not had dental care, which I had been feeling terrible about. She told me, I was there now and to give myself Grace. I have taken that advice and now feel motivated and very well taken care of. What an amazing office. From the front office staff to the clinical staff and doctors, they really listen to you and address your concerns in a compassionate manner. I have been in the dental field for 34 years and this has been such a wonderful experience. I very highly recommend East Valley Periodontics.

Amazing staff!!! Beautiful office and compassionate doctors!! If I could rate them 10 stars I would. I highly recommend them!! Thank you guys for bringing me a little peace during what felt like one of the scariest moments of my life. Appreciated everything you all did! While I did receive good news that my ulcers are benign it’s been a discouraging process because the healing process feels like it’s taking forever but we can’t control everything! Good news also being I had a 2nd visit with Dr. Nelson that provided me with new hope. During this visit the doctor took his time to really make sure I had all my answers and was very patient with me so thank you! You really helped ease my anxiety. This is a reminder to always give a 2nd chance to a business to make things right. Side note both Mesa offices and Queen Creek are beautiful and provide a nice calming environment while you wait!

EVP personnel are very courteous and efficient. Their office is immaculate and they explain everything they’re doing without having to ask. Dr Richard could see my fear and offered various methods of comfort prior to my procedure. I loved his pleasant manner, and he wasn’t in a hurry like a lot of medical professionals.
