Best Dentist in Santa Cruz and my nomination for greatest dentist of all time!

Growing up, I went to a dozen different dentists because my family moved a lot. I had lots of cavities so most of my teeth have been drilled at some point.

Most dentists were quick to do fillings when they found a cavity, Tina Lise is the opposite because she believes that drilling is the last resort.

First time seeing her was for a second opinion. My doc at the time wanted to drill 3 teeth, she said she’d rather monitor those spots and use non invasive treatments. 5 years later, and we’ve only needed to fill 1 of those teeth!

She treats me like family, her staff treats me like family, and she takes care of my mouth as if it were her own.

When I lost my dental insurance and started to pay out of pocket, I was happy to discover that her rates were affordable. I usually only go in twice a year for my regular cleanings, and doing the preventative stuff helps keep the cavities away.

I've been to a lot of dentists and Dr Curtis made me feel the most cared for of all of them. She took her time with me and was ingenious about home care tips for my teeth and gums. The whole team is wonderful. 10/10 experience.

Going to the dentist has never been my favorite thing. But walking into Dr. Curtis' cheerful, friendly office is so refreshing. Her staff is super helpful and accommodating but the best part, is Dr. Curtis. She really cares about her patients and truly wants the best for her patients.
Dr. Curtis keeps up with the latest technologies and treatments. I have tried bleach trays for years- and always dreaded the painful, gum pain. She offers a new teeth whitening system that is so easy and my teeth were instantly "whiter". Highly recommend it. Very reasonable. Thanks, Dr. Curtis! 🙂

The Santa Cruz area is a wonderful community, a University College Town, a Destination Beach Resort, and very close to the Bay Area. We are incredibly privileged to live in a wonderful community. We enjoy many things in this area including access to world class medical care.

The Concept of Community extends to the Concept of Family.

Dr Tina-Lise Curtis approaches dental care with a sense of community and a sense of family. Her professional outlook fits nicely with the tone and tenor of Santa Cruz: concerned, caring, friendly, and competent. Dr. Curtis takes a personal interest in individual patients and a visit to her office feels more like visiting a “Your Next Door Neighbor” that you like very much or a long time “Family Friend.”

The Goals and objectives set forth in her office WebSite are not purely platitudes and things that they hope will occur. Our experience has been that the entire staff takes a very personal interest in learning about individual personalities and the unique challenges that each patient might face regarding dental care.

Further, Dr Curtis’ approach is very gentle and skilled. I never recall an “Ouch Moment” while under her care. Actually, I look forward to my visits and conversations with Dr. Curtis.

All in all, the Santa Cruz community is very fortunate to have this particular caring approach in a local dental office.
