Dr Coffey is a wonderful surgeon. He diagnosed me in June 2024 with Ultra active colitis. After surgery, stays in hospital and having my colon taken out now having my reverse surgery, I am now onto a total full recovery. His care and attention helped me through the process and I would definitely recommend Dr Coffey to everyone.
All of this staff are very professional, can’t remember all their names but Nicole and Allison are extremely helpful.

From the moment he came into the room for the initial visit, I could tell he already had an opinion about me. I work with Doctor so I can tell by a look they have, and he gave me that look!! I told him my story and then he said, “well, you’ve already contradicted yourself a couple of times, and I think you have a slow motility issue and you’ve probably always had it”, and I told him “no way, I was a three a day pooper and never constipated, ever, not until after my first surgery”, he then said, “well let’s do an exam”. I was like what? But he was the first one to say let’s do an exam, so I let him go ahead, well that was a mistake!!! I told him before he did the back door exam, to be careful b/c I have hemorrhoids and I have a healed fissure. Did that matter? NOPE!! He shoved that finger in there so fast and then violently moving it all over!! Mind you, I have a painful bladder disease and pelvic floor pain, and he didn’t care in the least!! It felt like I just got rapped!! And there is zero chance he was able to feel the anastomosis as he was meant to do by going up there, b/c that was my only complaint coming in, the anastomosis!!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE!!! NEVER!!!!

You provided me with such a positive pain-free surgery and experience once again thank you . About a month ago, I met Dr Coffey for a routine procedure. He was very friendly and explained everything. I had my oldest daughter drive me, and after the procedure, he took to time to explain everything to her. My daughter apparently asked him MANY questions, and he took his time. About a week later, I was in Dr Coffey's office receiving some of the toughest news I have ever heard. Dr Coffey did tell my daughter that he is very direct and honest, and he was. While I thought I would take the news stoically...after it set in, I must have changed my demeanor. Dr Coffey immediately changed his tone and adjusted...and was absolutely great. I cannot thank him enough for that moment. He assured me that we were a team, he gave me tangible goals to focus on, and explained everything. I had never had surgery in my life prior to that point. Dr Coffey's staff was also amazing...especially the scheduler. I cannot remember her name, but she was very kind. My sister had asked some colleagues of hers about Dr Coffey, and the consensus is that he is a great guy, great surgeon, and a great doctor. To be fair, I was far more concerned about the surgical piece, not his personality; but he was always great with me and my support people. The day of the surgery, Dr Coffey stopped in and talked to me and was very positive. After the surgery, Dr Coffey made it a point to go to the waiting room to talk to my daughter and girlfriend. The staff told my daughter that most doctors don't do that anymore, and is one of the reasons they love Dr Coffey, he will come out and talk to the family. Pretty cool. The surgery went well, and I followed his instructions for recovery...and I am doing well. I just had my follow up appointment with him, and he was genuinely happy to see me and happy to deliver good news. I hope this helps anyone in a similar situation. I feel very lucky to have met Dr Coffey and to have been his patient.

Doctor Coffey's staff was amazing.. My son was having A lot of difficulties and they responded quickly and showed genuine concern. We had called several times while doctor Coffey was in surgery and his staff worked with us and made us feel very important and cared for.. I was in the worst pain of my life, not exaggerating. Dr. Coffey got me in last minute and made my surgery happen less than 2 days later. I am currently recovering at home but wanted to thank him and his staff for saving me from the worst thing i have ever experienced.
