First time here. Ronette was my hygienist and was surprised at how gentle she was and my teeth are shining. Would definitely recommend. I had to wait 8 months to get in here...if you do book an appointment, don't miss it and schedule in advance. 5 stars

I would leave a negative review if I could. Whoever is at the front desk answering phones has to be one of the rudest people I’ve come across in my life. For years she has been rude to my family and not once have we had a pleasant experience with her. Finally got a different insurance and was able to change dentists. A relief to not have to deal with her anymore and am now leaving this review for anyone new. I can understand once or twice having an off day but I and my family have been going there for years and she never changed her attitude towards any of us. The fact I can tell someone was rude to me from this office and we all know exactly who it is just from that is very telling. I recently called to make an appointment and admitted it had been two years since I’d come in due to college and depression (not good I know) then she proceeded to tell me repeatedly “ well that’s not good”. It is not your receptionists job to lecture me nor is it professional. Then when she called back and my dad answered to confirm the appointment (because this office cannot get their records straight and still had my father’s phone under my name) she was very snobby to him. Awful woman.

Appointment was at 10:45. We arrived early. I didn’t even get seated before being called back. Abby is an excellent hygienist. Dr. Parker was helpful and cordial as always. I would definitely recommend Dothan Smiles! I have never had a bad experience there.

At my first visit I was only greeted by one staff member, the one who was the only one who saw me from the moment I entered the office. I even asked her if she could see me, after she asked me why, I responded because no one else has. No one addressed me. That was my initial wrong turn moment. I was addressed by the doctor only after my complaints. I didn't get an audience with Dr Parker until my complaints caused him to speak with me. After many appointments to improve my upper partial I ended up with something that was as close to decent as they could get me. My lower partial is only used as decoration in a cup used to soak them, I haven't been able to use them as I can't eat or speak well with them in. I had recommended his office to both my brother and daughter. The only person to insure my daughter's dentures were rightly made was a woman who she thinks is his mother. My daughter's dentures we paid for around 9/2020, she but had to wait months for her torn gums to heal. In January the 'mom' insisted she would make sure the dentures were to my daughter's satisfaction. They ended up making her another full set. Since I wasn't expecting to be seen by staff only, I decided that maybe I'd get my implants done at SMILES. Wrong!!! From the time Dr Parker entered that room he never said one single word to me. I think maybe he didn't see me either. I'm certain his attitude toward me was because I apologized to my daughter for recommending him and made sure I was on speaker phone. So I felt his retribution for speaking the truth about the quality of service. My punishment is having teeth that look like they belong to the chicklit girl. He never addressed what he was going to do or how, or what to expect. Well he did say 'open', nothing more, to me. So this review could go on and on but I did come to conclude the quality of service may be issued out differently when all things are considered.

This was my second visit and everyone I came in contact with was very friendly and welcoming. Felicia did a fabulous job with cleaning. Didn't make me feel bad because it had been awhile since I'd had a cleaning! Dr Parker is very down to earth and thorough. I can't say enough great things about the entire visit!

Dr. Gaunt was the nicest dentist I’ve ever seen! He eloquently explained what needed to be done and was so sincere during the entire visit. He also was very knowledgeable and fast! Would recommend this place to anyone!
