Great experience with Doan Family Dentistry! The office is small, peaceful and quiet, yet modern.. and all of the staff were lovely! I was taken straight to a room when I arrived, no wait. Dr. Emily did my cleaning herself and it was quick and painless. They were also very accommodating to my multiple reschedule requests- never moving my appointment out further than a couple of weeks!

Also, they do $60 cleanings on the first friday of every month and donate the money to charity, which is so awesome! Since insurance only covers one cleaning per year, I'm going to alternate every 6 months.. better oral hygiene + giving to those in need = win win! 😃

This is the first dentist I've really felt 100% positive about. I appreciated Dr. Evans explaining things as he was doing the exam. It's the first time I had a doctor do it to the extent he did. I personally like knowing the procedures.

It is also the first time in years I had a doctor clean my teeth, rather than a dental assistant (mentioning assistant, Kyler RDA was great, he did my x-rays and polished of my teeth, with a awesome sense of humor).

What really impressed me, is Dr. Evans did not try to sell me dental work I did not need. He said my teeth and gums were in overall good health. The last few dentists I visited recommended several procedures that were very expensive and optional.

Don't be fooled by the exterior of the building, which is an older style. The inside is very modern and welcoming.

I have had some less than satisfactory experiences with dentists here in SLO. Some were over booked, had long waiting times, there were mix ups on appointments, impersonal exam (going through the motions), and the unneeded dental work.

I had an excellent experience at DoanDDS.

I used to be nervous about going to the dentist but after finding this office I don't mind it-each visit has been excellent. I've seen each dentist and they have all been great. The cleanings are thorough and don't hurt and they give great guidance on dental care without being pushy. I will continue to go here!

Highly recommend this dentist. My partner had an extraction performed here recently and it was done with upmost care and professionalism. He was comfortable throughout the procedure and there was no pain . The assistant who's name I believe is Kyler did a awesome job as well.

Dr.Doan is a woman of few words but she is kind, gentle, and thorough. Her staff is also very kind and professional. Both times I have been for basic exam and teeth cleaning have been great. Her office is simple but nice. It has a peaceful feeling. Today she saw that I had a cracked tooth so she filled it right there on the spot without the need for numbing. I hardly felt a thing. Best of all, she takes Denti-Cal insurance! Thank you Dr. Doan and staff for your professionalism and service to our community.

I cannot stop smiling at myself in the mirror! Dr. Emily Doan did a fantastic job removing some really ugly brown stains from my teeth. I have also received treatment from Dr. Nguyen, and he did some wonderful work on a few deep cavities I had with no discomfort. The office is very clean, well run, organized, and efficient. I am so happy with the care I have received at Doan DDS, and I highly recommend their practice. 5 Stars!

I was in need of a dentist for my younger children and myself. I called 5 times on five different days and called many times throughout the day. Today, I finally receive a call and am informed I cannot be seen with my insurance but children can up to age 21 but not sure if they have availability for new patients. The worst customer service and concern for new clients I've ever experienced. I'll be sure to let others know the way I was treated.
