Wow, I just had the most amazing experience getting a cavity filled at Desert Villa Dental! Dental visits have always made me a bit nervous, but this time was different. First off, the staff at Desert Villa Dental were super cool and friendly. They didn't treat me like just another patient; they made me feel comfortable and relaxed.
The dentist, Dr. Chao, was incredible. He took the time to explain everything to me, which helped ease my nerves. The cavity filling was surprisingly painless, and Dr. Chao even shared some interesting facts about dental health. I didn't feel a thing during the procedure. It was over before I knew it! The office itself was pretty modern, too, which was a bonus. If you're looking for a dental experience that's actually enjoyable, I highly recommend Dr. Chao. By far the best dental service I've ever received! Dr. Wa Chao attention to detail to the cavity that was forming that other dentists missed made me realized how much he cared when others didn't. He was able to prevent a bigger problem down the line, that was very important to me. Anytime I'm back in town, seeing Dr. Chao is a must for me. His staff is so honest and friendly. The office is very clean and welcoming too! I highly recommend Desert Villa Dental!

I have been a patient of Desert Villa Dental for 4 plus years. Broke a crown. Called and was told my absence (been a while since I needed a dentist) has placed me in the category of "new patient" and they are not taking new patients. This is the dental office with all my records. My only dentist. So now with a dental emergency I am forced to go "door to door" asking for help. And I am hearing.."sorry we are not accepting new patients!" You establish care with a dentist to insure coverage if you have an emergency. Proceed with caution....

Went for my first appointment. Dr Chao is VERY thorough. I've had a handful of Dentists since being a kid. He is of the most thorough I've seen. He went through my mouth in DETAIL and was attentive to my questions. He was recommended by several people in community I respect as well as another dental provider in Tucson.

Daisy is super great with my cleaning twice a year. I’ve been going to her for 3-4 years; I feel like I’ve known her much longer. I met Dr Chao for the first time last week. I was quite pleased how he handled my dental problem. If you’re dentist shopping, I highly recommend him!

I went to this dentist to establish care for both me and my wife On, 2/02/23. I was having discomfort in tooth #2 and it needed to be extracted at a different appointment. Before I left they asked if I needed any pain medicine. At that time the pain was not bad enough for pain medication so I said not yet. The receptionist Gabby stated that if I started having pain that they would call in a prescription for me. On or about the 02/20/23, the pain started to become unbearable so I called the dentist back and they refused to write a prescription for the pain medication they originally offered. This left me in extreme pain resulting in a trip to the local ER. This dentist does not provide pain control for even the most extreme cases. AVOID THIS DENTIST ALL COST!!

Signed a release for past medical records in November for my January appt. Staff could not secure them from previous office. After much persistence on my part we secured my xrays 3months later. For my initial appointment staff never told me that they never cleanyour teeth. Instead its a meet & greet.
Lastly 2 days prior to my January appointment staff called to tell me they could not verify my dental insurance coverage. What? and I should do my best in resolving the problem myself What?. I did and left this practice before I began!
Nobody cares how competent the Dentist is if staff treats somebody in this way. Maybe the Dentist does not know what goes on behind the scenes? Well in my opinion he should. It was inconceivable to me that staff could not problem resolve these administrative challenges. Thus I did not entrust them to care for my dental health.
