Gloria, Gloria, Gloria!!!

This office has had some well known issues with hiring and retaining great staff members, but I kept coming back because Gloria is the best hygienist. During the rough times I was caused inconveniences that were totally avoidable, but Gloria kept me coming back. There are offices that are closer and more convenient for me, but none of those offices have Gloria!

Monica, Monica, Monica!

I’m glad to report that the staff is headed in the right direction. Monica is a pleasure to deal with and seems to be correcting the previous wrongs that left a bad taste in my mouth. Please take care of Monica and make sure she is paid well before she leaves for another office and the chaos ensues again.

Gloria & Monica are difference makers that demonstrate the impact that hiring good people can make.

Chipped a tooth over the weekend, and they were able to get me in for an appointment first thing Monday morning. They fixed it quickly and so well you’d never even know I chipped it. Very happy with the service and the work done.

UPDATE: These guys say to contact them on every negative review, but when you contact them, they never get back to you. They only do it to look like they care, they don't. Been in pain every since they messed up a procedure I'm not sure I needed in the first place.

This place is a cross between a shady auto-mechanic and a new age cult. It's not a like a regular dentist office, best I can guess, they seem to rent out their facilities to various oral health professionals like a dentist WeWork. So even though I've been here like seven times, I've never been helped by the same person twice. I feel like the music and trendy looking staff is meant to lull you into "these people are cool," before they book you for a string of appointments that are misleading and you don't need. I went in for a cleaning, they booked me for 5 other appointments, at the end, I still never had my cleaning. I did do a gum scrapping, which was fine, except they lied to me about the reasons I needed to book a follow up to check for infections. At the follow up, the guy knew nothing of it being a follow up, said nothing about how the gum scraping went, he just spent the whole time giving me the hard sell on a gum graft surgery. My gums are fine. The whole thing was shady. They filled a cavity that was not bothering me and has hurt ever since they "fixed" it. And twice after trying to up sell me on a procedure, they forgot about me and left me in an empty room just sitting in a dentist chair for 30 minutes. Twice this happened. The second time it happened I left and haven't been back since.

EDIT: To be clear, I told this place my issues, and they didn't do anything. But then I posted about it in this review, and they put a cut & paste "we value your feedback" response to make it look like they care. It's just so fake.

My husband came here as a new patient, and I just wanted to say I'm absolutely jealous that he has such a wonderful staff taking care of his teeth. I honestly wish my insurance would cover this location because I would switch to go here too. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I was waiting in the lobby area, and they ended up letting me go back in the room while he got his teeth cleaned. The location was kept clean and tidy. Questions were answered and everything was explained well. Thank you!

I have been going here for a few years, I have finally decided to leave. They cancel my appointments last minute almost every time, and they "watch" cavities a lot instead of fixing them. I don't know. It feels weird there. The Dental assistants are amazing though I will say! Always so nice, but the place as a whole is just weird. Very corporate.

Don't go here. I had a simple cleaning at my first and last visit. They took and overcharged me for the tons of x-rays that were not even needed! They tried to get me to get a mouth guard which I didn't request, nor do I need. It's all just a run up the tab so my insurance will pay! RUN 🏃🏿‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️ TO A BETTER DENTIST.

HORRIBLE. Absolute swindlers. I saw this dude back in December, first of all, they didn't even start the exam until 30 minutes past my original appointment time but that is just the tip of the iceburg. The ex-ray tech and hygenist, Anthony, was great but I felt extremely oversold by Philip Stahl, DDS and was super suspicious of his diagnosis and guess what, I WAS RIGHT.

He told me I needed a deep cleaning requiring novacaine ($900 AFTER dental insurance) a crown ($1200 AFTER dental insurance) and "maybe" a root canal ($2,000 after insurance). His bedside manner was awful, he was super doom and gloom and high pressure. THERE WAS A CREDIT CARD MACHINE BUILT INTO THE DENTIST CHAIR. And regarding the root canal, he told me I probably would need one but he wouldn't know until he "got in there" so he was going to put me down for one, just in case. He also literally pierced my gums with a pokey tool and was like, see how they're bleeding That's bad.

I told him I wasn't really prepared for a whole deep cleaning thing with novacaine (I had never had one before and hadn't even heard of it) and asked if I could just have a regular cleaning and come back another time for the deep cleaning, he said no. That "multiple people had written letters to the CA dental board saying that they didn't provide an adequate level of care" and that by law, they were required to do a deep cleaning if that's what they diagnosed. I was like, um, ok that's not very confidence inspiring.

I asked again for a regular cleaning and he said he'd see if the hygienist could polish and floss me. So after TWO HOURS there, I left basically having had my teeth brushed and flossed.

Fast forward two months later when I get a recommendation for a different dentist in K-town from a neighbor. I saw them today and whelp, I DIDN'T NEED ANY OF THAT.
No deep cleaning. No crown. No root canal. I knew it.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. He is a hustler and will straight up lie to you about work that you need done.
