This is the BEST place for dental work! Dr. Hennessey is extremely good and HONEST. The assistant is very caring and ALL front desk staff AWESOME! I highly reccommend them if you want zero recurring issues ..call Dental Cares!

Dr. Hennessey made my scary tooth extraction super easy and comfortable. He was very personable and put me at ease. The dental assistants were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Even the staff at the front desk was nice and accommodating. Will def recommend to all my family and friends!!! ?

Strange place. Called for an emergency appointment. They asked for my insurance information before I got there and I gave it to them so they could "look it up" I took my children to a family member and did all this stuff, canceled other plans to get there wait and then be told the doctor on staff cant take my insurance.....so what did they do with it when I gave it to them before? Why ask for it at the time of appointment if you were going to do nothing with it? It's sketchy or incompetence....take you pick in which one it is. Then proceeds to tell me I can pay out of pocket to be seen....so you think I spend 600$ a month in insurance....to pay out of pocket? I had already been seen at an office and was having my records sent over. I'm glad they hadn't sent them already so I didn't need any of the things they were offering for me to pay our of pocket. Definitely won't be back that was an extremely poor first experience.

Hate to write this, because I have been seeing Dr. Hennessy for 10+ years, but I'm hoping to save someone from suffering through something they might not have to. I missed my last semi-annual cleaning and was a year over due for cleaning (previously hadn't missed a cleaning for probably 6-7 years). Never been advised to change cleaning habits (aside from remembering to floss) and can count on one hand how many cavities I've had. From the very first minute of my last visit, something was off. The hygienist took my x-rays and started speaking in an overly concerned voice. Read off all of my perio pockets as 4-6 with some 8s, said I had perio-disease, and was already showing bone loss, and that if I didn't correct these things, I would be looking at tooth loss. The strangest thing was that she pulled her chair around to sit in front of me to tell me this as if she was imparting news of terminal illness. So bizarre, and frankly I probably would've gone along with it if the severity of the situation hadn't been so over sold. The treatment plan they asked me to agree to summed to $2,200 and included a $200 electric tooth brush and a $90 water pik. I've always taken really good care of my teeth, have spent a ton of money on them, have never smoked, and rarely drink so I knew something just wasn't quite right. A week later went to Dr. Olson at Bartlett Family Park for a second opinion and had a great experience. The hygienist said that she didn't see anything out of the ordinary, said she didn't read any of my pockets over 4, and that I definitely didn't need everything Dental Cares was recommending. Dr. Olson came in and without knowing the dental cares horror story, she looked into my mouth and said "wow, you have great teeth. They're beautiful." Needless to say, my wife and I sadly will not be returning to Dental Cares.
