Our experience with Clínica Rotger was very mixed.
We are normally insured in Switzerland but planned the birth of our baby at Clínica Rotger in Mallorca, with some prenatal visits done in parallel.

For an international clinic, it was surprisingly difficult to find doctors who could communicate properly in English, and appointment scheduling was slow and complicated, often with very long waiting times. As an uninsured patient in Spain, each prenatal visit had a fixed upfront cost of 496 EUR, with little transparency about what was included. In practice, this often covered no more than a basic ultrasound. Communication about billing was unclear, and several emails asking for clarification were never answered.

Medical care during pregnancy and delivery was inconsistent. Some staff members were kind and professional, while others were cold, unhelpful, or difficult to communicate with due to the language barrier. The induction of labor and delivery involved several organizational and communication issues, and parts of the medical documentation later raised serious questions.

On the positive side, the facilities were beautiful, and many nurses were attentive and caring. The most positive experience by far was our neonatologist, who was present at the birth. From the very first moment, he provided excellent care to our baby. We continue to see him, and he is always thorough, compassionate, and highly professional. Juan Torelli is an exceptional doctor, and I truly wish more physicians were as humane and attentive as he is.

Overall, while the clinic offers high-end facilities, our experience did not meet the expectations one would have for a private international hospital at this price level.

After having a rather negative experience with some staff at the Radiology department I now find myself trying to book another appointment. Rather than talk to a human being, a machine takes the call, you give all sorts of data, maybe you get to talk to a human and they say they will ring you back... one week later, still waiting. This has happened twice, trying to make the same appointment.

I had the misfortune to be sent to this 'Medical Facility' in the early hours of Saturday morning. I am a seasoned traveller, with much experience. Thankfully with not too many visits to Hospitals etc.
My wife slipped and fell in our Hotel bathroom. She had suffered lacerations in the lip and mouth area.
The Hotel, who were excellent, called for the ambulance. When it arrived, eventually, the crew displayed no sense of urgency or compassion. I had to lift my wife onto the mobile chair.
When we arrived at the Centre the first question...yes the first...was how do you intend to pay for the 'service!' Not what happened, was consciousness lost etc etc. My Spanish is not to a coversational standard and I do understand that not all speak English...but medical teams My wife spent approximatley 30m on an IV drip...then I was asked if I thought she could be discharged!! No prognosis or information given (only a brief summary...given with my 1100+ Euro account bill). When I asked one of the 'medics/admin staff'...not sure which...maybe both, for any information he could hardly take his eyes off the game he was playing on his phone...minimal response! Unbelievable.
I would not want to visit here with any medical problem again.
I realise Mallorca is a Holiday destination and Hospitals must obviously see plenty of casualties because of this. But a lack of professionalism in the field of medicine is unacceptable. I have basic Aviation Medical training. So I do have some experiences with this.
Finally, we were there about 90 minutes, I received the account bill and ordered a Taxi by the lady on reception. It took me until after rest etc to realise how poorly we were treated.
I hardly ever post reviews etc and don't go on Social Media.
This may have been a 'luck of the draw/bad night' moment. And no doubt there are some fine medical people/staff at the facility.
But I felt this episode needed to be told. Such a shame...basic humanity is scarce at times.

I needed to visit the clinic on a Sunday due to an emergency and problem with my eye.

checkin at the counter was fast. Everybody spoke English. We waited 30 minutes and then the doctor was already available and could treat my eye issue and even solve the problem. The doctor did not speak English, but this was no problem at all as a very friendly nurse Translated everything.

All in all, I can highly recommend this clinic

We received exceptional obstetric care from the start of my pregnancy to delivering our baby, and the post-natal support has been fantastic too.

The doctors and staff throughout our journey have been incredible - all real experts in their field, we couldn’t have asked for more personal and thorough care throughout!

The facilities are also great; the private rooms are like hotel suites and the birthing rooms have all the best technology, which added to use feeling super safe whilst there.

The hospital is also in a great location as it’s easy to park (a car park right outside and also some free parking nearby, if you can get a space!) with all the shops and amenities of Palma right on the doorstep.

The food was also of a really good standard and we enjoyed all the meals were served during our stay!

So huge thanks to the whole team for taking such good care of us during this special time 🙂

I came with serious dehydration with a severe case of food poisoning and despite feeling like I was going to lose consciousness and having private insurance to pay they told me I was young enough to survive it and didn’t give me a drip. They offered an injection or that one or the other and that the injection would be quicker, after I asked if that was going to help with tje dehydration which is what the issue is they said no. They have no pharmacy on site and told me I could go myself as a female alone close to unconscious to a pharmacy at 2am to get the prescription. I had to get myself a taxi home and it was 3 days before I was well enough to even get the prescription to get any help. I have never received such a bad service from start to finish, I had to get more help 7 days later and hospital Juanita suggested a drip 7 days later that they didn’t even give me on the night!

Amazing and friendly staff, we had to go to emergency and then stay overnight and the quality of service and amenities were truly exceptional. This is the best hospital I’ve ever been to.
