I had a dental emergency on a business trip to San Diego and I was so fortunate to go to this office. Dr. Tiffany Huynh and Torri took such incredible care of me. They are outstanding professionals and so kind and caring. I'm thinking of going back when I'm in San Diego even though I love my dentist. That is how much I was impressed. Thank you for everything!

Love this dentist...... Selected it due to it being near where my b/f lived at the time, since I spent most of my week there. Looked at various dentists in the area and ultimately selected this one due to location and reviews. Haven't regretted it once.. I still use this location, even though my b/f now lives with me, and this is no longer close (half hour each way now) because I love them here so much. All the staff is personable and friendly, and my dentist there is awesome, high recommend

Rude, unprofessional bully dentist I have never experienced.

I recently changed insurance and made an dental cleaning appointment with this Dr. Janice Nazarenno. They never mentioned that I need to have x-ray in order to have a cleaning!!! However, when I got there, I met Dr. Wen, she told me that she requires a full 3D x-ray, full month X-xay first. Concerned too much radiation, I declined full 3D x-ray, then she came up with a less radiation 3D panel x-ray, so I had to accept it. During the full mouth x-ray, the technician tried 3 times of my front tooth image, but all didn't work, she said she doesn't know what going on with the machine. When she tries again, I refused, I told her that it is not professional to have patience have x-ray again and again but your machine can't produce a image, please fix your machine first before you try on patient.

The technician call the Dr. Wen and she told me that I can't get a dental cleaning without x-ray. I told her that I have too much x-ray today and I can complete the x-ray next time, but I need a cleaning today before I travel out of country. She refused.

I asked her to switch another Dentist. and Dr. Janice Nazreno came up, she rudely told me that she is the owner and can't give me a cleaning today and walked me out of the office.

It is insulting and humiliating. I waited for a month for this dental appointment and wasted entire morning. Over 40 years of my dental experience, I have never ever experience any doctor this rude and unprofessional.

They never consider a patience's wellbeing and bully their patients to have all the unnecessary procedures they think they can make claims on the insurance. They have no regards on patients.

If you want to be bullied and scammed, this is the dental office for you!!

Note: I just talked to anther dentist office, they don't need 3D full x-ray and full month x-ray for a dental cleaning. They just need me to send them the previous x-ray from my previous dentist. I also called insurance, they told me that it is usually not require full 3D x-ray and full mouth x-ray for cleaning, the full month x-ray is only required if patience has some dental problems.

When I offered to Dr. Janice Nazreno that I can send my previous x-ray to her office. She told me that "I HAVE TO SEE IF THE X-RAY MEET OUR STANDARD"!! What a insult to all the dental professionals in California. What she think she is? She is the goddess of dentistry in entire California? What a shameful scammer.

This has been a wonderful dentist experience and I am thankful for the friendly and professional staff!

Torri, is awesome, and she really helped me get a quick replacement when I broke my retainer right before a Yosemite trip.

Ashley, also amazing, helped me make sense of an emergency when I broke a tooth and pretty much needed to get surgery as soon as possible.

It is very nice to get the best, professional dentall care, and to feel like I am being cared for as well.

First time visit at this office and had a very positive experience. Ali at the front was very attentive and welcoming and you can tell she likes her job . George the technician was so nice and empathetic, but what drew me in was Dr Shasho .
I have been her patient for nearly 12 years , she is very professional has knowledgeable , skilled and she always think of her patient first . I have been treated by many dentists over the years, and most are looking to make another buck , and not caring about the patient needs and well being. Not Dr Shasho !
I always feel she cares for my dental health and gives me the right advise for treatment. The crowns she has done for me 11 years ago are still perfect condition.

I am originally from the east coast and needed to find a new dentist here in San Diego. Ironically my search for a dentist was jumped started last Friday afternoon when I chipped my front tooth. I had previously been recommended to go to Dr. Starr and thank god I did. The story is that my tooth had be chipped and filled from a previous event when I was younger, and only a very small part of the filling came out. It was so small that it was barely noticeable but the issue was that I had an interview coming up this week and I needed it to be fixed. Since it was the front tooth, I was being dramatic and felt like half my tooth was gone. In panic mode, I just drove to the office, with no appointment, no idea how booked up they were and them having no idea who I was. When I got there I spoke with the receptionist and told her what was going on and she kindly went back and explained my situation to Dr. Starr. Even though I came in unannounced, right before closing time, and their schedule booked out for the rest of the day, Dr. Starr was kind enough to at least check out what I had going on. After a quick X-Ray, she looked at the tooth and went over all my options. Even though I was being picky and gave her the hard task of fixing such a small chip, she was willing to fix it right then and there. I have had this chip fixed 3-4 times from previous dentists and I’m not lying when I say Dr. Starr and her dental assistant Kai gave me the best experience and best looking tooth I have ever had. That, on top of the fact I came in unannounced at the end of the day and they were still able to do what they did for me says everything you need to know about what kind of service you will get from the entire team at the Carmel Valley Dentist Office. To everyone I encountered with my “dramatic and dire” situation, thank you so much !

As a first-time client, I was truly impressed by the exceptional service at your office. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful from the moment I arrived. Dr. Starr took the time to patiently walk me through my results, which I really appreciated. A special shout-out to Torri, who made my dental x-rays a breeze. I've struggled with gag reflexes in the past, but for the first time ever, it was a smooth and comfortable experience, all thanks to her extra care and effort. I'm truly grateful for the thoughtful and attentive care I received.

My whole experience was great, quick and accurate cleaning. Love the interactions with everyone they are all so welcoming. Torri was quick and efficient with x-rays and polishing, as well as the wholesome conversations to connect with patients. Can’t wait for my next cleaning.
