My gums were receding alarmingly and had been doing so for many years. I was starting to fear that in the future, I would be losing teeth because of it.

Dr Kazemi performed three “tunneling” surgeries on my gums over a 3-year period. She has a special training in this technique, using microsurgery instruments, which rebuilds the gums using tissues from the roof of the mouth.

All three surgeries were 100% successful! My gums are in much better condition now! After the first surgery, I knew that I wanted Dr. Kazemi to do all of my needed oral surgeries. While any surgery is difficult in some way for the patient, Dr. Kazemi made sure that I was as comfortable as possible. Her general manner with patients is very reassuring. She listens to a patient’s thoughts and concerns and addresses them with expert knowledge and understanding. During each surgery, she checked in with me often. We developed some “sign language” so that I could easily alert her if I needed something (ie. to take a break and close my mouth, or if I had a tickle in my throat, etc.) or if I was doing just fine.

As a patient, I know that my role in a surgery is to relax as much as possible and to tell the doctor my needs. Dr. Kazemi made it easy for me as a patient. In addition, after each surgery, she checked in on me multiple times (not just once). She asked specific questions and answered any questions that I had. She even sent me some before and after photos of my gums! Her communication and caring are exemplary.

I highly, highly recommend Dr. Kazemi to anyone who might need her services!
