Please do not go here if you need any medication on a continuing basis. The Pharmacy I have been going to for years cannot get any response for medication refills from them. The thing is they can’t blame my Pharmacy because the owner is a great friend of the family. The NP’s will prescribe something then discontinue it with no rhyme or reason without even talking to you and no it is not a scheduled narcotic medication. I have yet to see a MD and have only seen in person a NP once. Everything is doctoring by phone. As a certified medical/hospital billing coder I’m really interested how they bill my 10 minute phone calls. I would give them a minus zero if I could. The only positive is that some of the referring specialists are good but not all.

First time patient at this organization. The lady in the front office was helpful and welcoming. The medical assistant was personable and spent time getting my history. I would give these ladies 5 stars! Janine the medical office manager did a good job trying to repair this horrible appointment.

This review is to warn patients of Dr. Brenda Pelayo at this establishment. Call ahead of your appointment and ask to see anyone else. Dr Pelayo already had a chip on her should when she walked in the room. This doctor did not ask me why I was there, looked at me twice during the whole 5 minute appointment, starred at the computer during the exam. Did not sit down to talk to me, or even introduce herself. I had to ask the office manager if she was the doctor….. If this is the representation of the organization, wow!!!!!!!! I question if the doctors in the community are helping its people. I sure wouldn’t want my family members going to her. In the end her assistant gave me a sheet for lab orders the doctor prescribed for me. And with my headaches she didn’t include a UTI panel for labs… what a waste of my time and money.

A FIVE MINUTE EXAM!

This place has been such a disappointment and honestly very unprofessional. I frequently bring a relative here, and every visit seems to come with new issues.

The doctor once accused us of lying, saying they never told us to stop a certain medication — even though they absolutely did. They also keep referring us out to specialists because they “can’t do anything for the patient.” One diagnosis they gave was later dismissed by a specialist who said there were no signs of it at all, which really makes us question their accuracy and judgment.

We’ve also had terrible scheduling and wait time experiences. On one visit, we waited over two hours, asking the front desk multiple times why my relative hadn’t been seen yet. Eventually, we found out the appointment was booked with someone who wasn’t even in the office that day. Most of the staff had gone to lunch, and only one nurse stepped up to help — the others just said they didn’t “work with that doctor.” It was upsetting to see that kind of disregard for an elderly patient.

The paperwork process has been just as bad. We dropped off time-sensitive forms and kept checking in, but all we ever heard was “I’ll send a message” or “the person who handles that isn’t in.” We were even told the papers were locked in a cabinet and “not accessible.” After three months, we finally got a call saying the paperwork was ready — but then they refused to accept a family member’s signature, even though they knew the patient has physical limitations. It felt very inconsiderate and even discriminatory toward someone with disabilities.

What’s even more concerning is that I later learned that keeping patient paperwork for more than 14 days without processing it is against the law, and patients have the right to file a grievance in this situation. That makes this delay even more unacceptable.

To make things worse, on one visit, several receptionists were loudly talking about workplace drama, complaining about supervisors and “telling them where to go.” It was completely unprofessional and uncomfortable to hear in a medical setting.

Overall, this office is disorganized, unprofessional, and lacks compassion. It’s frustrating to deal with a place that shows so little care for patients, especially seniors or those with disabilities. I wouldn’t recommend this facility based on our experiences.

I’ve been a patient here for almost 2 years. They never told me I had high cholesterol and now I have NAFLD most likely caused by this. And they never answer the phone and if takes weeks to get your refills on meds you take long term. They either finally send it or they tell you you need a phone appointment.God forbid if you take longer than 5 minutes or the nurses complain your taking too much of their time and they put this in your chart! Never have I seen such poor care. You can’t even get an in person appointment for 3 months! What’s the point of having a PCP. They have such a bad reputation rideshare drivers don’t like them and many pharmacists have heard about them as well as UC Drs. I have heard this myself. They should not be in business. I would not take my dog here.

I Was really unhappy with today's provider, Dr. Ferrufino, both my kids were 1st time patients for child exams. The medical assistant was awesome and polite. We waited patiently for a while for the provider to come in. He comes in and does maybe 5 minutes of check up on each of my kids. He was more concerned why my kids didn't speak spanish, I kept telling him they don't speak spanish, I had tell my kids at times what he is saying to them. You would think they would take time to read your child's intake and history and address our concerns, like my daughter depression and my son's autism but I guess he didn't do that. He was more concerned why they didn't speak Spanish and the HPV vaccine and finish off the appointment. I was very upset with today's patient care, don't think I will go back.

They scheduled my child to be seen was waiting for OVER an hour AFTER his appointment. I had to ask NUMEROUS STAFF Whats going on . ONLY ONE nurse ACTUALLY did his job and found out that my child provider was NOT even in the office neither was the back up Dr . Told the front desk receptionist and she was just as lost as I was. She called her coworker and was told that NONE of the providers were in . This is ridiculous so my child WAS NOT seen AT ALL
