I visited Dr. Ann Kania for a gum graft last year due to a pretty intense recession on my lower gums and have had multiple teeth cleanings at her office since then. I’ve had a remarkably positive experience with this doctor and staff! The staff creates a welcoming and supportive environment, making you feel valued and cared for. Dr. Kania took the time to address all my concerns thoroughly before proceeding with any treatments, which significantly eased my worries and uneasiness. I was particularly pleased with the results of my gum graft. During my teeth cleanings after the gum graft, Dr. Kania and the dental hygienist took the time to teach me the most effective ways to care for my gums, including proper flossing techniques, to maintain better gum health. I can both see and feel a significant improvement. The results were beyond my expectations, and I am truly grateful for the care and professionalism I have received and continue to receive at this office! My reason for seeing Dr. Kania started with issues on two of my lower right teeth, both had crowns and placed by two different dentist. I had issues with both of them from time of placement, but was assured everything was done correctly and need to give them time to settle in. Long story short, my current dentist last cleaning visit, October 2023, noticed gray areas below one of the tooth. I self referred myself to an Endodontic doctor for an evaluation, was recommended by my sister and my hygienist, and out come was needed a root canal on one and the other extracted with an implant to follow because it was cracked and caused the infection. We have known Dr. Kania for years and my husband recommended I see her for the extraction instead of my current dentist. I have never been more pleased with a decision to travel to Encinitas from Grand Terrace for dental work. Her front office staff, Jessica and Jocelyn provided me with such great service in setting up my appointments and very sweet and courteous when we met in person. Dr. Kania called me personally to explain procedure and how I needed to wait till my root canal was completed so there wasn't any added discomfort and that was so appreciated. I have never had such a great experience with no pain during a dental procedure. I only needed to take pain medication the night of the surgery to help me sleep and with her written instruction to follow my healing process was complete in the time she indicated. Her assistant Kellie took so much care to make certain I was comfortable during the surgery. All I can say I have recommended Dr. Kania and her staff to anyone who is needing this type of dental work and the distance is so worth the care that is provided and I am truly grateful for her.

Dr. Kania and her office staff are so professional and considerate. I had an emergency tooth extraction with a bone graft. Dr. Kania has a superb protocol in place which left me feeling comfortable during the procedure, and with my aftercare. She is San Diego's best!

Dr. Kania consistently does superior work. She has performed two gum grafts and an implant on my front tooth. Dr. Kania had to do a bone graph for the implant to take because I have had a bridge for 40 years. I have been fearful for years to make a decision for an implant on the front tooth. Literally, I had no problems. She is meticulous, professional and friendly. I now go to her staff for teeth cleaning too. I highly recommend Dr. Kania and so does my dentist.
