I LOVE this office and staff. Dr. Hosena is literally the BEST dentist I have ever had. I had broken my tooth about 6:30am by 8 am I had my appointment for 9. I was able to have my X-ray and consultation within less than 10 minutes after arriving. We went over dental options for me as well as finance options.
I came back had the work done, I felt ZERO pain they were all so kind and helpful. I felt safe in their hands. I'm normally a dental chicken but not with them. I highly recommend.

My husband had an appointment with our longtime dentist, Dr. Serafín Hosena recently! It was so amazing for me to see my husband with big smile on his face while leaving the dentist chair. My instinct told me that he was very satisfied with the full service extended to him by Dr. Hosena and his dental assistant. By the way reason for

was to put permanently his upper bridge that replaced his 3 front teeth. It was perfectly done and no wonder my husband was so happy. His happiness is priceless! He requested me to thank Dr Hosena and his staffs for a job well done. May I say that every dental work we’ve undergone with Dr Hosena are outstandingly done. Dr Hosena is the best dentist I've ever had. I've been going here for over 10 years and I moved out of the Long Beach area 5 years ago - that should tell you something. I've often said you don't know that the dentist you've had wasn't the best until you finally have the best. Dentist are often like car mechanics - some will tell you that you "need" things that are really just optional but not necessary. I fully trust that Dr Hosena wants what's best for me and feel he has my best interests in mind with how he approaches dental work rather than looking for ways to try to make more money from me like many of my previous dentists have done.
The office staff is all super friendly here and the wait to be seen once you arrive is never long. They do great work, but are also very efficient so as to not keep you there longer than you'd expect or is necessary for the work you're having done.
I recommend Belmont Dental to everyone I know who lives anywhere in the Long Beach area. I've had nothing but great experiences since I started going there 10 years ago!

I went here for a cleaning due to better reviews than Google shows on my insurance website. I made sure to ask on the phone if they use the ultrasonic cleaning tools instead of only manual scraping for cleaning. They said yes. When I arrived, the dentist himself did the cleaning, and he was not thorough or meticulous. He didn't document my gum recession, so the deep cleaning he recommended was rejected by my insurance. They didn't bother to investigate what the insurance Co needed, and just left me to figure out if i wanted to pay or of pocket. Not only that, but they only use the ultrasonic cleaning for deep cleanings and not routine cleaning. I never would have come here if I knew that. Also, why? No one knows. I do not recommend this dental office or dentist. Not thorough, not caring, not clear communication.

Moved from Simi Valley where I had an AMAZING dentist. I was really worried I wouldn't find another w/compassion and understanding.
Dr. Hosea is WONDERFUL! His staff is VERY nice and always available to talk about issues if I have any.
The doctor understands what it's like being a patient and how being in "THE CHAIR" can cause stress, so he's very good at communicating and doing an amazing job.
NEVER had pain or felt uncomfortable in his chair.
Food channel on the t.v. makes me hungry, however, that's the ONLY problem. lol I leave and I want goodies. LOL

Horrible, horrible experiences I've had with many other dental offices. Dr. Hosena and his staff has been the only dentist that I truly trust. I've been through a root canal with him and I had a pleasant experience. I'm such a wimp with dental pain and I can tell you that I nearly have no anxiety going into his office knowing that I need a procedure.

Had dental work dine here, shared with them something didn't feel right. Got told I was wrong..... now I have black all along the gumline of the crown they did.
They don't listen, they rush you through.
I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
They will leave you with rooting teeth.

I went to get my teeth cleaned almost a year ago and I was told there was no copay with my insurance. I had explained that I had x-rays done in the last 2 years, but they still did x-rays of my teeth. After the x-rays and the teeth cleaning was done, I asked if there was any payment. They said there was no payment and I was told to schedule the appointment in 6 months, which I did before leaving Belmont Dental Care. A few months after I get a bill from the dental insurance. I called Belmont Dental Care and they said I have to pay them for the X-rays that were done. I put a claim through the insurance for the costs of the X-rays as I was not aware of the fee when it was done. I kept calling Belmont dental care and they insisted that I pay before a certain date. They said that X-rays are only covered every 5 years and if not there is a fee. I wish I knew that. I paid the fee and canceled the 6 month check up. I asked for a copy of my X-rays and I am still waiting for my X-rays almost a year after my appointment. I am not going here again other than to get my X-rays.
