So, to begin this review, I will start by saying my Autistic son (8 yrs old) had an absolute nightmare first visit with a different dentist's office, and when we got home I called Pediatric Dentistry Of Lakeland to see if they may be able to see him. I couldn't and wouldn't bring him back to the other place. They were closed, but I received a text message from Olivia asking if and how she could help me. I explained to her what had happened through text, and she and I spoke a while. She told me she would love to show my little guy and I a different experience with the dentist and would be more than happy to see us. We set up the appointment, and guess what, that happened and we waited less than a week to be seen. I was sent all the paperwork to complete through a quick text link that sent me to an easy to fill out small packet of paperwork. Appointment day came today. I was dreading it because of how bad it was with the other company...My nerves were on edge and I was really worried. We got to the office, and walked in. We were immediately welcomed with a smile and friendly voice. The waiting area was clean and absolutely adorable. I will include photos for everyone to see. We didn't wait very long before we were brought back to a room. The room had an amazing view of a little pond, with a mermaid, ducks, an airboat with an alligator captain and a small waterfall. Lots of plants surrounded the little pond.
Stacy was the person we saw next. She spoke to my son and told him how happy she was to see him. She smiled and spoke with us a few more minutes. Then brought him a puzzle to work on. He happily climbed up on the seat and went to puzzle working chatting away. A short time later, the door opened and Dr. Erin walked in with a smile. She introduced herself to my son and then to me. He was checking her out unsure if he was gonna let her anywhere near him. She knelt down to his level, and spoke softly and gently to him. She showed him her soft gloves on her hands and the mirror to see his teeth. He backed away a bit, and she asked him if he wanted to hold the mirror. He took it and made faces at it, then tried to check my teeth, then a few more faces. She explained to him how it worked. We got him up on the chair and leaned him back... oh man... this is where it's gonna get ugly! My chest was pounding from the nerves. Surprisingly enough, he wiggled a bit trying to avoid his mouth being checked out,but Dr. Erin, Stacy,and the other assistant, stood beside him gently holding his head in place while speaking gently and kindly to him reassuring him that it was okay and he didn't need to be afraid. They checked his teeth out, and helped him sit up again. He popped up and said BYE-BYE! We went out to the center area to talk about what needed to be done while he checked out the prizes they had for kids after their appointments and went to lining up all the cars while we chatted. We got the next appointment set up and started to leave and he was all smiles.
If all children's dentists were this amazing... this gentle and caring, life would be so much easier on little people. I can't even begin to say enough about how impressed I was, and how good it was to not see my child traumatized again by a stranger shoving stuff in his mouth as 4 people held him down as he cried and fought to get away. At NO time while we were there, did we feel rushed in any way. They explained what they were doing, how they would do it and as they did it they communicated that as well while reassuring him the whole time.
They truly went above and beyond straight from the first call to a closed office.
I can't even give them enough praise for a job well done. We have found our "home" for dental work for my sweet boy.

Tooth be told, they are the very best in the whole molar system!

This was our first time at Pediatric Dentistry. We’ve been going to another dentist, but decided we needed a change. I’m so glad we chose Pediatric Dentistry! Upon arrival, we were quickly checked in and then waited for maybe 5 minutes. Then my son (6 years old) was taken back for his x-rays, the dental hygienist was kind and thorough. Explained everything to him. Then I was able to sit and watch him have his teeth cleaned. The doctor came to see him, said everything looked great. He chose a toy. They suggested a special fluoride toothpaste to bring home to help fight cavities. I rescheduled the next appointment and we were on our way. I was thrilled with the wait time, thrilled with the staff, everyone was very nice, and the office was clean and it didn’t feel like I was being pushed through the system. It was a very great experience, and efficient! I would recommend anyone bring their children here. I only wish I would have come here sooner!

This has to be the nicest pediatric dentist facility in Lakeland! Extremely clean, the office is kid friendly and welcoming, the staff was extremely kind and professional. I love that they interacted with my son and even though he is only 6 they included him in the entire process. They are very prompt my appt was at 12p and i was in the back with my son at 11:57. Highly recommend!!!

Brought my daughter in for her first cleaning. She’s a toddler and they did amazing. All so friendly, from the front desk to the Dr. Clean environment and I highly recommend. My daughter loved it.

The staff is friendly and Dr. Erin and Dr. Amanda are very kind and knowledgeable. We never have to wait long and my son enjoys going and playing in the play area in the front lobby. The area where they see the patients is spacious and has a cute view of a little pond. I don’t feel crowded like other pediatric dentist offices can be. I’m happy we switched!

Amazing experience. My 3 yr old daughter had her first x-rays and big girl teeth cleaning. Everyone did such an awesome job making her feel comfortable. Not to mention the office is beautiful with state of the art technology and great games to keep the little ones entertained. Thank you!
