I am giving 1 star just because I cannot go less than that. I arrived at the clinic and nobody, NOBODY was there. I had to scream around 4 times for help and Destiny the manager came out to only tell to sit down and wait and did not ask any demographic information. After a while. Someone came back from lunch and she was super nice and helpful and completed my check in. My root canal ended up being 2 hrs. I was there opening my mouth for 2 hours!!!! Then they refer me to a specialist. They charge me for the root canal “apparently” Destiny void the charge, the weird thing happen when I was in her office and she suddenly asks, “who are you?” “What’s your name?” I am so confused about all of this. Now I have to be going to a specialist. I called today to ask if a claim was made to my insurance. Again the manager Destiny did not ask DOB name, nothing and provided me no information about my claim but provided procedure name and details about my appt. Where is HIPAA here? What type of management is this? and hang up the phone on me because I requested to speak to someone who is able to answer my question. I had to call my insurance to find out if any claim was made and they told me to call back to the clinic which I did. The person who I talk to “helped” me. The only thing I can say about this is place is the worst place I have been for dental health. I am just finishing my root canal treatment with the specialist and finishing the crown and never going in here. I am a nurse and believe me this is not the way a patient should be treated. They make you feel you are dumb and stupid.

Had my cleaning and x ray three weeks ago. I reserved my appointment through the website and went there on time. I got their service within 10 minutes. I was fully explained on what was covered or not by my insurance plan. The dental hygienist was friendly; sorry I forgot her name. Dr. Kim was very kind and considerate. I was able to explain my issues and get the proper treatment I needed. No doubt I will visit again in the near future!

Dr. Jamie Sung has been absolutely amazing! In my past with a completely different dentist, i had a very traumatic experience. Thankfully with Dr. Sung’s amazing service it has made me “want” to keep coming back and get the treatment my teeth need and deserve. The team at Johnson Family Dental in Goleta have been remarkable. I am so grateful and thankful for all of them, Dr. Sung has truly changed my entire outlook of going to the dentist.

Had a great time @ JFD Goleta. The team there is wonderful. I had 3 appointments, 3 days in a row and felt very comfortable. Nick, the dental hygienist asked me if I was moving in because I brought my small decorative pillows from my bed to take care of my back in the chair. I was so comfortable! You should try it. Going back again next week. So ? fun!

Pleasant people and hygienists are careful and highly competent but you never know who you’re going to get— I’ve had 3 different hygienists during 3 visits — so that it’s hard to develop an ongoing relationship with anyone. I specifically asked for one person and then was told only when in the chair that they’d left. No warning or explanation. No plan for follow up appointments was offered.

Just had my cleaning this morning and everything went as expected. There weren't any surprises and the staff per my last few visits as well is still very friendly. As silly as I've looked with a half numb face smiling at them, no one laughed at me, they must be used to it...

My experience here has always been great and fair. My mom works at a pediatric dental unit so I can bounce info from Johnson Family off of her and she seems to agree with all of their prices and findings. Dr. Kim has helped me in the past along with Susana, both whom are great people. No reason i won't be coming back here for the near or distant future.

I had a great first visit here! The staff were very friendly and attentive. Dr. Jaime, Brenda, and the front staff were all very helpful and welcoming. Was able to schedule my next visit for an extraction the very next day. Looking forward to future visits 🙂

Me Mine

Was trying to become a new patient. Got there early. They took me back 10min late only to tell me they had no openings to clean my teeth till Feb 2025. Why didn't they tell me that when I called to schedule it in the first place instead of wasting my time. Took time away from work for nothing. Why weren't they just honest. If you don't have time to clean for 5 months, why say you're accepting new patients.
