Very fine office staff. My excellent dental hygienist is very personable and was excellent using a new technique showing the plaque buildup under UV light. This was new to me and I’ve had periodontal disease for many years.

Dr. Naval is very conscientious in keeping up with the new techniques in the science of periodontal disease. She employed laser therapy to counteract bone loss in my deep pockets. She shared research that indicated which brand of electric toothbrush actually did the better job of cleaning plaque. Finally, she demonstrated why the water pic was useful and what tip to use. I came away with a new appreciation for the best patient exam I’ve ever had.

Before stumbling upon her practice, I saw two other dentists who specialize in oral care of such and I can confidently say, that she is by far more competent, more humanely sensitive, and excellent bedside manners than others. If you prefer functional medicine over traditional you may enjoy Dr. Naval’s way of thinking and treatment. She has all the traditional credentials and services, but I like the way she thinks outside the box, and can possibly offer alternative solutions. I initially saw her to do repair of bone loss from an implant with a different Dentist. (She was able to repair.) I knew at that time that she was a perfect fit for me when she sent me home with an alternative mouth rinse to the popular 99% bacteria killing mouthwash. It seemed obvious to me that she knew there is also good bacteria in the mouth that is beneficial, and shouldn’t be destroyed. I highly recommend Dr. Naval.

Dr. Naval and her staff inspired confidence that they were paying careful attention to my specific issues with one of my tooth implants. Dr. Naval gave a helpful demonstration and tips on how to clean my teeth better, including switching the tip of my water pick to the brush type. They have modern laser and scan technology to help with diagnosis and treatment.
