Not only are the prices here very high but I was disregarded after not healing within the normal timeline from a procedure. In a separate instance Dr Kwon used her hands to try to force my jaw to open wider without asking, despite me explaining this wasn't possible. Humboldt has very few dentists accepting new patients, but it is worth going somewhere else.

I’m staying with Dr. Kwon - I went to her for a second opinion, and she ran through each option of treatment, allowing me to have autonomy and help me make an informed decision. I felt way more comfortable than I did with my previous dentist who made it sound like I only had one choice available to me (which would have frankly cost me an arm and a leg). She also made me feel safe, as did her entire staff. Dr Kwon knows her stuff, her skill level is noticeably a higher standard from a patient perspective anyway, and she talked to me with patience and with an ease that I appreciated.

100% recommend! Dr. Kwon gave me my smile back. I had been to so many dentists and none of them could fix my front teeth as well as Dr. Kwon. I was so embarrassed to smile without covering my mouth with my hand. But after a few visits at Dr Kwon’s office I smile with confidence. Her staff are top notch and very friendly. I’ll never go to another dentist again. I have found my dental forever home. Thank you so much Dr Kwon!

Dr. Kwon and her staff are the best. She is incredibly knowledgeable and patient. I've previously had a crown done by a different dentist, and have had issues with it afterwards. I've since had another crown done, this time by Dr. Kwon, and it was a completely different experience. The procedure was seamless, and I've had no complications. Normally I'm hesitant with dentists because of my previous experiences. I went into Dr. Kwon's office with my guard up because of this, but her professionalism, clinical skill, and patience assuaged my concerns. Also, her dental assistant is very kind, and her front desk staff are all wonderful and caring. Everyone in the office is a consummate professional. From the moment you arrive in the office until you're done, you are taken care of. I've recommended several of my friends to her clinic, and trust the work that she does. Her experience in the field shows - this is a top quality dental practice in Arcata.

I don’t like dentists but this office and Dr. Kwon made me feel really comfortable. During covid I didn’t go anywhere and now I have quite a few things I need to do. The first office I went to elsewhere tried to rush everything and I was not happy. I found Dr. Kwon and they explained very well and took the time to put me at ease. I’m really happy with the work and my experience. I would recommend them over and over again.

When Dr Kwon came to Arcata, I was excited to get a new dentist as my dentist had just retired. At that time, she was more expensive than the other dentists in our area but I disregarded that. She replaced two crowns and did such a poor job that I had to go to another dentist to correct her errors. My new dentist, whom I trust very much, informed me that even with the adjustments he made, one of the crowns will still need to be replaced. Kwon's poor work has cost me a considerable time and money and I don't recommend her.
She and her staff are very friendly though.

I went to Cho Kwon dental because my old dentist kept cancelling or moving my appointments. Dr. Kwon's office charges up front but in about 1 week I get reimbursed by my insurance and turns out my cleaning total was less than my old dentist office! I've been there a little over a year and my appointments have never been moved and my hygienist is just awesome! I found my dentist that I will be staying with!
